A talented group of players is headed into their freshman year of high school ball this fall. We have been keeping an eye out for these difference-makers across the state throughout the club season and now in the postseason. This is a short list, and it already includes numerous talented players in the class. As we observe players in school ball, we will continue to add to our 2029 tracking.

[player_tooltip player_id='774445' first='Avery' last='Kettman'] | 5'11" | MB | [program_tooltip program_id='499308' first='Apex' last='NW Volleyball Club']. Kettman plays aggressively and uses her excellent size to handle jousts and overpasses in the middle. She has good vision and touch when attacking, and can find an empty spot for easy kills with her well-placed tips. Kettman brought the heat at PNQ. She showed off a heavy arm and ripped kills on different routes in the middle.

[player_tooltip player_id='593886' first='Parker' last='Davis'] | 5'9" | S/RS | CPA 15 Drew | It won't be the first season of high school play for Davis; she has racked up kills and assists playing for Oakesdale High School as a middle schooler. Davis has excellent size at the setter spot and works extremely hard to find favorable match-ups for her attackers.

[player_tooltip player_id='735270' first='Courtney' last='Brandt'] | 5'10" | OH/RS | Aspire NW. Brandt will be at Ridgefield in the fall. The 5'10" attacker has a high contact point, drives the ball deep to the corner, and isn't afraid to find high hands. Brandt played all the way around for Aspire NW. She has a good platform in serve receive and makes smart adjustments to short serves and serves outside her midline.

[player_tooltip player_id='786278' first='Rowan' last='Greenfield'] | 6'0" | OH | 208 VBC. Greenfield has been tough for opposing defenses to handle all season long. An outside hitter with a 10'2" approach jump, Greenfield is springy and has a fast arm that will add even more power as she fills out. She was part of the 208 VBC 14 Elite squad that won a national championship at AAUs.

[player_tooltip player_id='726103' first='Presley' last='Messersmith'] | 5'7" | S/RS |Dakine 14. The setter for Dakine 14, Messersmith, did the two most important tasks at the position extremely well this season. She sets a hittable ball and her team wins- a bunch. Messersmith will be at Curtis next season, joining the excellent Vikings program.

[player_tooltip player_id='776796' first='Amelia' last='Battaglia'] | 5'5" | DS/L | SIVA. Battaglia is a playmaker at libero who keeps her team rolling with an infectious positive attitude. The gritty defender can make sprawling digs with either hand and is strong and solid in the serve-receive game. Battaglia is a grinder who works on all aspects of her game and has a presence in the back row.

Finley Pecht |6'0" | S/RS/OH | CPA 14 Hedder. The 6'0" Pecht has terrific length and is a strong overall athlete. Older sister Logan is 6'3", so look for Finley to add some size as she continues into high school. Pecht is going to have position flexibility; she has avoided being pigeon-holed as a middle due to her height and is an intriguing prospect to keep tabs on.

We need to add one rising eighth-grader from Post Falls, Idaho to the mix.

Peyton Barclift | 5'11" | OH | 208 VBC. Barclift was named the MVP of the 14 Premier Division at the AAU Championships in Orlando, as she helped 208 VBC 14 Elite take home the title. The soon-to-be eighth grader at Post Falls Middle School is an outstanding six-position outside who capped off her club season with an invite to the USAV National Development Program Summer Training Series. Conratulations Peyton!
