Recruiting Notebook: Nebraska’s Multi-Position 2027 Standouts

But, as we mentioned throughout that series, the start of open recruitment would not mark the end of our 2027 coverage. We've merely hours into what will be an extended recruiting process for the vast majority of prep athletes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>So, our coverage rolls on. Today's feature draws inspiration from the 2027s who have exhibited unmatched versatility and flexibility. We've seen her win state championships with Lincoln Lutheran while anchoring the middle or attacking on the right side. Her club career has exhibited her willingness to transition from a game-changing attacker to a skillful setter. Sidlo's vast arsenal has expanded further with [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 17 Black, where she has embraced a dynamic setter-attacker role. Pick's primary objective with Ponca has been to rack up kills on the left side, and she has consistently met that expectation. This high-flying athlete racked up triple-digit kill totals in each of her first two years with the Indians, but that's not all Pick is known for. She also has unusually smooth hands for a frontcourt attacker, giving Ponca an additional option at the setter spot if needed. Wolff is denoted as a setter-libero hybrid on the team's roster, and she has proven she can perform both roles with exceptional precision. Her libero role took precedence last fall as Wolff over 400 digs and commanded the backcourt in serve receive. We also can't forget about Wolff's precise secondary setting in out-of-system situations. Holtze's meteoric rise caught us all by surprise and helped Cambridge re-establish its frontrunner status. Her offensive production skyrocketed last fall, culminating in over 300 kills and a wealth of backcourt contributions. Holtze can get her kills on the outside, from the middle, or anywhere in between. She has excelled at multiple Prep Dig Circuit events, where her quick right arm has been on display at the left-side hitter spot. This Bennington native is also a frequent attacking outlet for Nebraska Elite 16 Ohana, a team that has found frequent success on the regional qualifier stage. However, Fogelstrom has also pursued an alternate role as a defensive specialist and could thrive in that niche at the next level. This Aurora junior-to-be has been a smooth setter for Nebraska Juniors 16 Red, helping the team through a tough regional schedule this spring. Bartek's precision and finesse are something to behold, but her physicality is perhaps her biggest strength in the starting rotation. This allows 16 Red to wield Bartek as a frontcourt weapon who can take over matches on the right pin.
