We’ve spent a lot of time covering the late-season rise of Nebraska Juniors 17 Black, but don’t overlook the talent lurking on the club’s 17 Red lineup. Bartek was the focal point of 17 Red’s operation no matter which role–or roles–she carried in the lineup. She is a smooth, savvy setter with the wicked arm needed to anchor the right-side hitter spot, too. Bartek’s reps as a setter-opposite make her a compelling prospect at the next level, as she will never leave a length deficit at the tape. She proved that again with Nebraska Juniors.

Bartek remains in the spotlight as one of Nebraska Juniors 17 Red’s anchor players. Most teams don’t get a go-to attacker and a smooth setter in one package, but Bartek provides both phases for her upstart squad. The only difficulty is deciding which phase has been more impactful from Bartek this year. Her quick right arm and pin-to-pin distribution allow Bartek to put her stamp on all of 17 Red’s successes.

is a dynamic floor general with strong spatial awareness. She extends the net well, pushing balls outside the antenna and stretching blockers laterally. Her hands stay high, and she disguises location effectively. Paisley also contributes defensively, reading hitters and transitioning quickly into offense. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

Nebraska Juniors always seems to deliver physicality and finesse at the setter position. Bartek fits that mold perfectly and was a versatile signal-caller for Nebraska Juniors 16 Red. She distributed well in three-hitter rotations and often became a right-side attacker after rotating into the frontcourt. We’ll see which role Bartek embraces at our showcase.

Bartek reminds us of so many other setter-hitter hybrids who have flourished in the Nebraska Juniors gym. This Aurora junior-to-be has been a smooth setter for Nebraska Juniors 16 Red, helping the team through a tough regional schedule this spring. Bartek’s precision and finesse are something to behold, but her physicality is perhaps her biggest strength in the starting rotation. This allows 16 Red to wield Bartek as a frontcourt weapon who can take over matches on the right pin. Her range is endless.
