Close to 50 athletes competed at John Lance Arena yesterday during the first of two elite camps hosted by Pittsburg State University.

The Gorilla coaching staff and team ran the event, which consisted of drills and scrimmaging.

Here is a look at five familiar athletes at the event. All but one are in the Class of 2026, and all but one are still uncommitted.

[player_tooltip player_id='552361' first='Caileigh' last='Kilgore'], 5'9”, OH, Louisburg, '26 (Pittsburg State)

Kilgore is a player I featured a week ago as being one of the top uncommitted athletes in the Kansas Class of 2026. Unbeknownst to me, she had verbally committed to Pittsburg State. She had an outstanding camp, and I could tell she was playing pressure-free ball. She was enjoying herself, played with the top group of athletes at the event, and had a chance to meet her future college teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='523686' first='Addison' last='Hansen'], 6'0”, MB, Salina Central, '26

On the other hand, Salina Central's Hansen was competing like she had something to prove. She is a physical middle hitter who looked sharp during the hitting drills and took coaching well during the event. She was competing with a purpose. Hansen is ranked No. 202 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. She entered the day looking for her first college offer. Hansen finished her junior season with 100 kills and 68 blocks for the Mustangs.

[player_tooltip player_id='561070' first='Daynica' last='Euwer'], 5'7”, S, Halstead, '26

Euwer is ranked No. 77 overall by Prep Dig. She is a feisty setter still looking for her first college offer. She played for a state champion team last season, and it showed. She was not at all intimidated by the elite prospects from other states at the event, and crisp rep after crisp rep during the day's events. She had a solid junior season for the Dragons, posting 191 digs, 85 assists, and 133 serve receptions.

[player_tooltip player_id='489671' first='Delaney' last='Childs'], 5'10”, MB, Nickerson, '26

This was my first time getting to see Childs compete in person. She has a raw edge about her still, but she took each rep during drills seriously and thrived among the top physical athletes at the camp. She has offers from Bethel and Kansas Wesleyan, but is still uncommitted. She has a chance to reach 1,000-career kills this season for Nickerson.

[player_tooltip player_id='515296' first='Natalie' last='Sill'], 6'0”, MB/OH, Bishop Carroll, '27

One younger-ranked athlete in this group is Bishop Carroll's Sill. She is ranked No. 65 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027. She was enthusiastic throughout the event and attended the event to improve her skills. I liked her quickness and was impressed with her defensive ability. She finished with 88 kills and 50 blocks for the Golden Eagles last season.
