About Arika

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my volleyball gameplay style as very competitive and hardworking. I always give full effort on the court, stay focused during games, and push myself and my teammates to do our best. I enjoy playing with intensity, communicating well, and doing whatever I can to help my team succeed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality on the volleyball court is positive, focused, and determined. I stay locked in during games, encourage my teammates, and always push myself to improve. I bring good energy to the team while staying competitive and ready to work hard.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I am involved in clubs and organizations outside of sports, and I have also received non-sport awards. Being involved in different activities has helped me build leadership skills, responsibility, and strong connections with others outside of athletics.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed strong communication and teamwork skills through volleyball. I’ve learned how important it is to communicate with teammates, stay positive, and not get in my head during difficult moments. I also push myself and others to stay focused, work hard, and keep improving together.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One significant challenge I’ve faced is learning how to stay confident and mentally focused during difficult moments in games and practices. Volleyball has taught me how to push through pressure, not get in my head, and keep communicating and working hard even when things are not going perfectly.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that will help me succeed in my career and also balance sports.
