Tenleigh Carns Tenleigh Carns 5'4" | DS/L Fargo Davies | 2030 ND reads the game extremely well for a young defender. She isn’t waiting for the ball to be hit before deciding where she needs to go. I watch her eyes because she is already picking up pieces of the attack, getting herself into position, and giving herself a chance at balls before they ever cross the net. That shows up against hard swings, but also when hitters change things up with rolls and tips. Tenleigh seems to have a feel for where the ball is going, and that ability to read the game is what keeps standing out every time I see her. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

Tenleigh Carns Tenleigh Carns 5'4" | DS/L Fargo Davies | 2030 ND plays the back row with urgency and discipline. Her platform angle is steady, and she absorbs pace well on hard-driven balls. She tracks hitters early and positions before contact, which keeps her from reacting late. In serve receive, she stays low and square, allowing her to pass with consistent trajectory to target. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

This month, monitor her range. As competition increases, her ability to cover more floor in transition and extend rallies will be key.
