About Kaylie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a Libero — I read the court fast, communicate with confidence and I never let the ball hit the floor without a fight. I thrive under pressure and bring high spirits into every point, I am always ready to make the play that changes the game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a competitive player and a coachable one. I bring energy without ego, lead by example, and stay focused no matter what the scoreboard says. I hold myself to a high standard and push my teammates to be better every day because I don’t just play to win, I play to grow.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through volleyball, I’ve developed strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. I’ve learned how to lead vocally, stay composed under pressure, and build trust with my teammates. I’ve also grown in discipline, and time management, always balancing practice, school, and recovery.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was moving states during COVID. It meant starting over in a new environment, finding a new team, and adapting quickly all while dealing with the isolation of the pandemic. It pushed me to become more independent and adaptable, both on and off the court. That experience helped shape my mindset and made me tougher mentally.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can grow as both a student and an athlete. I want a strong volleyball program with a competitive culture, great coaching, and a team-first environment. Academically, I’m looking for a school that supports student-athletes and helps me prepare for life after volleyball. But I am keeping my options open right now.
