Denver returns in 2025 as the defending Class 2A state champion. The Cyclones bring back a lot of talent from the title team, including sisters [player_tooltip player_id='389017' first='Bailey' last='Mullihan'] and [player_tooltip player_id='389009' first='Grace' last='Mullihan'], a pair of front row standouts committed to St. Cloud State. Setter [player_tooltip player_id='389012' first='Channing' last='Johnson'], who is headed to Wayne State, is one of the better players at her position in the state. [player_tooltip player_id='827473' first='Mylee' last='Thurm'], [player_tooltip player_id='835359' first='Madeline' last='Hildebrandt'] and [player_tooltip player_id='755663' first='Adeana' last='Murch'] return after contributing at various levels last year. Regina reached the state tournament last season in large part because of [player_tooltip player_id='261094' first='Reese' last='Naeve']'s absurd 753 kills. With the Iowa State pledge back with fellow 2024 starters, Ella Keune, Adalee Klein, [player_tooltip player_id='403543' first='Addie' last='Bollier'], Nora Wilhelm and [player_tooltip player_id='837418' first='Ruby' last='Greving'], the Regals should again be a tough out.
