2025 High School Season opener review in the Bluegrass State

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The KHSAA season kicks off this week and we ventured into the depths to disclose what we saw and who we liked. Taking a look at the first of this season's game we attended at Ryle High School facing opponent Dunbar High School. We've seen some of these names before, and for good reason. Players that stand as pillars for their team, and we got to look at a few new names that show a wealth of talent in the Bluegrass! A very smart athlete who reads the court exceptionally well. She sets with ease and is quick and accurate, putting the ball in the pins hands for the best scoring option. Her backset is flawless, and she runs the court well and with thought! She can put up a nice block with good timing, can serve up aces and delivers a fantastic hit getting those kills! We saw Ashley put up some nice blocks with a great presence at the net. She has a beautiful, correct fast swing, with perfect contact and can absolutely hammer a ball leaving the opposition scrambling. We love her play off the net she is fast to transition and reads the court well! She reads the opposition and does it well. She is a force on the front line, setting, hitting, blocking and is exceptionally good at all three. She is a solid blocker and has excellent reflexes playing off the net and covering. She can flat out serve a bullet deep into the corners and is uber consistent. She can sneakily tip and is smart in her placement. She puts up solid blocks and can strategically tip to fool the opposition easily showing great ball control and court IQ! She provides great cover for her teammates and is essential to the front line, making plays that count. She has strong communication on the court with her team and comes ready to play. She is a key piece of the puzzle and has stepped up and continues to perform to expectations! Mia is lethal with her aggressive attack and gets the job done, consistently, racking up those kills with her explosive swing and vertical deep into the corners with fantastic style!
