Each day for the next six days, we will feature a group of kids from Indiana with a certain something in common. Today, our topic will be all available kids from the 2021 class that are six feet and up.

[player_tooltip player_id="85683" first="Jada" last="Allen"], 6-1, OH/MB, Munciana 18 Samurai (18-1), Fishers High School

Jada has been playing for Munciana for a few years now, but this is her first opportunity to play up a year with the big kids on arguably the best club team in the state of Indiana. The commits around her are going to UNC, Wisconsin, Ball State and Indiana, just to name a few. Jada’s whip of an arm and overall athleticism allows her to hit multiple shots on any set thrown at her. She’s also listed as a middle because of her excellent ability to hit off of one foot. Of the kids available in this article, there isn’t another that plays at this level.

[player_tooltip player_id="85694" first="Mikayla" last="Christiansen"], 6-0, RS/MB, Munciana 17 Pandas (17-1), Fishers High School

Our second entry from Fishers, Mikayla comes from a long line of athleticism. Her older sister played volleyball at NCAA II Cedarville, one of her older brothers is the current M1 for Indiana Tech, a new NAIA men’s volleyball program, and her oldest brother played football at NCAA I Elon. Mikayla has been a 6-rotation right side, but has filled in as a middle when needed. Her attack touch is north of 9-6, and defends the right back well. She’s just started the recruiting process, too.

[player_tooltip player_id="85697" first="Delaney" last="Garner"], 6-1, MB, Academy 17 Tsunami (17-1), Hamilton Southeastern High School

Just down the street from Fishers is HSE, a not-to-shabby high school volleyball program in its own right. Delaney brings a heavy arm, takes up a ton of space on the block, and is quick footed enough to go pin to pin. Her Academy team has already won a tournament during this truncated season, and her high school setter is her club setter. The consistency factor in that match-up should do wonders for Delaney and her future.

[player_tooltip player_id="85700" first="Jaylynn" last="Dunsmore"], 6-0, MB/RS, Munciana 17 Pandas (17-1), Yorktown High School

Jaylynn is clearly the top middle in her class in the Munciana program, and is the top middle option for the Pandas. She’s long and lean, quick footed, and can hit in front of and behind the setter. Her competitive fire and consistent winning tradition (YHS has won multiple state championships in recent years) will project this kid to wanting to continue those winning ways.

[player_tooltip player_id="85717" first="Regann" last="Jessee"], 6-1, MB, Team Indiana 17 Elite (17-1), Columbus East High School

Stacy Pagnard (former Ball State All-Conference player) is her high school coach. Michelle Coleman (former IUPUI record holder) is her club coach. Regann has been guided by some of the area’s best, and even though she’s a late bloomer, her smooth athleticism is obvious and she’s only getting better. I like her super-high contact point and her ability to cover ground with her length on the block.
