The Clippers have started 2025 living up to the hype. The South Dakota School of the Mines commitment was at it again in leading them to a championship at the 2025 Live Like Line Tournament. Henderson had 15 assists, three kills and four digs in the title match victory against host Iowa City West, a Top 10 5A team. It followed a 17-assist performance in a semifinal win against another ranked 5A outfit in Ankeny. Henderson helps her teams win in multiple ways. Beyond consistent and precise setting, she defends at the net and in the back row. Henderson has developed as an attacker in recent years and will end points when given the chance. Lower brings the bulldog mentality that helps her succeed on the hardwood to the volleyball court. She plays with a non-stop motor and intensity that her teammates can feed off of. The athleticism and explosion that lead to Lower busting up opponents in hoops help her shine through six rotations. Her vertical leap, hang time and powerful right arm make her a threat at the pin or from the behind the 10-foot line. Lower shows excellent timing as a shot blocker. That's proven to be true during the early stages of the 2025 campaign. Schlarbaum's 102 kills (.279) through 19 matches rank second for the top-ranked Clippers. Her 100 digs are third. Her six-rotation exploits as a sophomore in 4A are advanced. A hammer at the pin, Schlarbaum combines high-end athleticism with being fundamentally sound. When she gets into a rhythm, her attack is impactful. Schlarbaum has improved most with her defense in the back row. That was the case again at the Live Like Line Tournament, where she played a key role in the Clippers winning a title. During straight-set victories against 5A ranked Ankeny and Iowa City West, Simpson delivered a combined 10 kills and 6.0 blocks. That was going up against opponents with talented middles. She's a two-way presence at the net that successful teams need. Simpson possesses long arms and explosive athleticism. Her attack has become more powerful and consistent in the last year. Couple that with her improvement in reading the block, and you have a problem for opponents. Her versatility should make her attractive for colleges, especially with the recent reduction in roster sizes. Sherman showed off the flexibility again in helping Clear Creek Amana win the 2025 Live Like Line Tournament. Through that event, she ranked second on the team in blocks and was among its leaders in kills. Sherman finds success as a middle with her skill set. She's adding in more attacks at the pin. Her slide attack from the middle also is improving. When seeing her again at August's Prep Dig Sizzle and then at the Live Like Line Tournament, she'd moved her game even farther forward. Ronnfeldt is improving her serve-receive skills, getting a better pre-serve read, putting her in position for a clean pass. She moves well laterally. Anticipation also helps her stifle the opposing attack.
