Simpson is a known volleyball commodity to fans around the state. She’s ascended into being one of the top middle hitters within the borders. I watched her a few times during the season at Clear Creek Amana, but have not yet seen her play in person this club campaign. I didn’t need to see updated video to advocate for Simpson. It’s silly she’s not getting more attention from colleges. First, the athleticism and agility are real. She’s in the rotation for the 4A top-ranked Clippers basketball team this winter. Simpson’s explosion aids her in both endeavors. In volleyball, that means quick bursts and lift on the attack. The swing is getting heavier. Simpson’s strengths also contribute to a strong block. Bailey Simpson Bailey Simpson 6'1" | MB/RS Clear Creek-Amana | 2027 State IA will be one to watch out of the middle for Iowa United 171 Elite.  She has a lot of length and athleticism for the club out of the Iowa City area.  Watching her live, you can see how her movement looks effortless.  She is quick to close her block on the pin and can transition quickly to be available for her setters.  Speaking of setters, keep tabs on Belle Seaman Belle Seaman 5'10" | S Muscatine | 2027 State IA who will be setting for this team.  She is one of the top available prospects in Iowa’s Class of 2027.  This team will have their eyes on the prize for an open bid after being a national division qualifier in 2025. 

The juniors from Clear Creek Amana was a key piece to their final four run in the Class 4A State Tournament.  She has also been a key part to this 17s group from Iowa United.  Simpson’s length and athleticism is what sets her apart.  She plays the middle position with finesse, she’s smooth, efficient with her movement, and is equally an offensive and defensive presence on the court.  With her being around other top athletes throughout high school and club, she knows how to compete at a high level.  I think she would be one who could go fast in 2026 when it comes to committing.
