Texas High School Report Vol 6

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Texas High School volleyball season is now upon us.  Last season there were some amazing teams and super competitive matches that took place.  We have been seeing some amazing effort in order to chase the ultimate prize, a State Championship.  There have been some great matches so far and we cannot wait to see how the season unfolds.  Let's take a closer look at who is standing out for these teams on the rise. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Aledo Bearcats</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hold the phone!&nbsp; Aledo is coming to the party!&nbsp; They are currently sitting at 27-2 on the year and have some upperclassmen stars that are leading the charge.&nbsp; Senior [player_tooltip player_id='808006' first='Alyssa' last='Todd'] has 320 kills on a very impressive .357 hitting percentage.&nbsp; This is one huge reason why this team is so dangerous right now.&nbsp; With only 73 attacking errors on 691 attempts, she is one of the most efficient attackers on the pins across the state of Texas.&nbsp; The senior left side is looking to take her team far in the playoffs in her last season.&nbsp; Junior [player_tooltip player_id='806306' first='Kaelee' last='Berkley'] is having a phenomenal year so far and makes a great 1-2 punch on the pins.&nbsp; The five-eleven six rotation left side looks unstoppable right now.&nbsp; Three other fireballers who are helping the offense stay hot are Payton Patrick, Karsyn Trott, and [player_tooltip player_id='799357' first='Lily' last='Morris'].&nbsp; This offense is very difficult to stop because just when you think you have one person under control, one of these stars rises up to the challenge.&nbsp; The amazing duo of Sohpie Frank and Kailey Hamilton are really spreading the ball around to everyone with precise location.&nbsp; These two seniors want to go out on top also and are proving that they have what it takes to do so.&nbsp; Junior super libero [player_tooltip player_id='433561' first='Karsyn' last='Evans'] is leading the back row and she has tons of experience playing at an elite level during club season to make sure that their ball control is always top notch.&nbsp; With someone like her keeping their offense in system, they should be ready for a deep run in the playoffs.&nbsp; We will keep watching to see if they can do it.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Liberty Redhawks</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sitting at 21-3 overall is the Liberty Redhawk volleyball program and they are regarded as one of the frontrunners for a deep playoff run with what we have seen from them so far.&nbsp; They are led by the strong right arm of stellar senior pin [player_tooltip player_id='530386' first='Jaiden' last='Harris'].&nbsp; If you don't know who she is by now, just listen for the sonic boom in the gym and chances are she is the one who made the sound with her attack.&nbsp; She leads the team in kills so far for a good reason.&nbsp; Fellow senior [player_tooltip player_id='804540' first='Maddie' last='Lagrone'] is having a great season at the net with 184 kills so far.&nbsp; Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='528474' first='Aubree' last='Pratt'] and [player_tooltip player_id='766858' first='Emersyn' last='Fink'] are two attackers who are adding tons of heat of their own on the offensive end for the Redhawks.&nbsp; Senior libero [player_tooltip player_id='805752' first='Morgan' last='Ferguson'] is having a tremendous season with 13.2 digs per match.&nbsp; This team is playing amazing defense by picking up everything and hustling together.&nbsp; If they are to go far in the playoffs, they have to replicate this effort every match.&nbsp; The six-two setting studs [player_tooltip player_id='253966' first='Allison' last='Tredwell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='677178' first='Riley' last='Wong'] are doing a fantastic job of running the show.&nbsp; The offense continues to flow no matter which one is handling the ball out of the back row.&nbsp; Allison is also contributing mightily to the defense by being a wall shutting down opposing attackers on the right side.&nbsp; With her playing all the way around, she is a coach's dream.&nbsp; We will be watching them closely to see if they can continue their hot streak and you should also.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As always stay tuned for more articles on your favorite teams and athletes.&nbsp;
