Alayah Krein is the type of player every coach wants on the floor. No matter the situation, she simply finds a way to get the job done. Whether she’s attacking in system, putting away an out-of-system ball, or making a hustle play on defense, Alayah consistently impacts every phase of the game.
She’s a dynamic six-rotation outside hitter with the ability to score from both the front and back row, and her relentless defensive effort makes her just as valuable behind the attack line. What continues to impress us most is her versatility. During the high school season, she seamlessly stepped into the setter role for O’Connor while continuing to contribute as an outside hitter—a testament to her volleyball IQ and all-around skill set.
Her work ethic, competitiveness, and dedication to improving are evident every time she takes the court. Alayah is one of the most complete players in the Class of 2028, and we’re excited to watch her continue to shine during the upcoming high school season.

She’s a steady leader, a fierce competitor, and the type of player every coach wants on the floor when the match is on the line.
