Class of 2026 Rank Update: Setters Deep Dive

<p>The class of 2026 has been nothing but impressive this high school season and over the summer. We still have college commitments rolling in, and many players are absolutely dominating their senior seasons. Let's do a deep dive into the rankings update for the class of 2026, including the top 3, stock risers, new names, and key players to know.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top 5 Ranked Setters</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Brooke is an all-around athlete. She has a steady presence on the court and feeds near-perfect balls to her hitters. Brooke's high volleyball IQ, court awareness, and ability to play in 6-rotations really set her apart. In her three years on varsity, Brooke has nearly 2,200 assists. She also contributes to every other stat. From her competitive serves to her large block and big swings, Brooke's entire game is honed for the next level.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Sari is another setter who has an all-around game. On her high school team, Sari currently leads her team in aces, kills, and assists, and has a 0.370 hitting percentage. This is just a glimpse of the impact that Sari has. Her energy and competitiveness on the court change every game she is in. Sari is committed to UW-Green Bay and will be a fun athlete to watch stay local throughout her collegiate career.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Anabelle is a player who has only continued to elevate her game over the years. She improved from the 8th-ranked athlete in the class to #6. Her blocking has become a key part of her game and has made her even more dynamic. Anabelle brings a lot of experience, has a very high volleyball IQ, and is the type of athlete who is tough to take off the court.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Stock Risers</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Addie moved from the 11th-ranked athlete in the class to #8. She is such a dynamic player who can consistently perform at a very high level. No matter if it is high school, club, or a showcase-type event, Addie is an impact player who leaves everything on the court. She continues to elevate her game every time I see her play, yet brings the same competitiveness, passion, and energy time and time again.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Lizzy moved up two spots in the rank from 22nd to 20th. I had the opportunity to see her play at the Crusader Cup earlier this fall, and she is just dominating on the court. She owns her leadership role and running the court and never misses a beat. Lizzy does a great job holding opposing blockers on her and is very strategic.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Kenley made a huge jump in the rank. I remember seeing her at on of our Prep Dig tournaments last club season and being so impressed with every aspect of her game. She has a lightning-fast armswing and can manufacture points as a hitter, but is also a high-level setter. Kenley is an all-around athlete who is highly competitive and always hungry for more.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Alaina is a setter who has flown a little under the radar but is a sneaky good setter. She is the kind of leader who elevates the game of everyone around her and sets her hitters up for success. She brings consistency and tempo to the game and puts in the work on every single point. </p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Names</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Ruby has been on our watchlist but moved into the rank with this most recent update. She is a 4-year varsity athlete at Waukesha West and currently has 1,485 career assists. Ruby makes great connections with her hitters and is a leader on the court. She is the type of athlete who consistently shows up for her team and is a reliable leader and player. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Maddie was added to our watchlist. She has been a huge asset for Dominican this season. Maddie currently has 1,650 assists in her 4-year varsity career and that number will only continue to climb this season. Dominican was ranked 7th in the WVCA Coaches Poll last week and Maddie is a huge piece of that team's talent. </p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Key Names to Know</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Alayna is a gritty setter who moves the ball around like a seasoned pro. She is a huge leader for Luxemburg-Casco and impresses me so much every time I have the opportunity to see her play. She is also a solid defender and motivator for her team. Alayna has good court awareness and is just a gritty and scrappy player who can get her job done. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Kaitlyn is another sneaky good setter. She was a bit under the radar for a few years but has really exploded onto the scene as she has been a leader for DSHA the past two seasons. She has over 400 assists this season so far and is proving herself time and time again as a key player for the Dashers. Kaitlyn is strategic with her sets and runs a very balanced offense. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Emma has a massive amount of talent and even more leadership. She is a true team player who goes all out on every single play. I've seen her play in club and high school and love that she plays with resilience and grit. Emma is very athletic and has a huge vertical. She moves the ball around efficiently and has great connections with her hitters. </p>
