<p><strong>1. Blue Valley West (35-4) Prev: 4</strong></p>

<p>The state champions in Kansas' top class. They didn't drop a set along the way, capturing the title in dominating form. [player_tooltip player_id='480396' first='Peyton' last='Kubik'] and [player_tooltip player_id='807962' first='Jensen' last='Kubik'] combined for 20 of the 29 kills in the final match.</p>

<p><strong>2. St. Thomas Aquinas (33-5) Prev: 5</strong></p>

<p>Kansas 5A state champions, The Saints, marched through pool play with few issues and knocked off Blue Valley Southwest in the championship. [player_tooltip player_id='561986' first='Morgan' last='Hampton'] contributed 7 kills and hit over .500 in the final match to help lift the winners.</p>

<p><strong>3. Olathe West (30-8) Prev: 3</strong></p>

<p>Runner-up in Kansas 6A, Olathe West ran up against a wall in the final match, being held to .029. </p>

<p><strong>4. Blue Valley Southwest (37-5) Prev: 2</strong></p>

<p>Runner-up in Kansas 5A. Like Olathe West, Blue Valley Southwest struggled offensively in their final match, hitting .039. </p>

<p><strong>5. St. Michael the Archangel (32-7) Prev: 9</strong></p>

<p>The first state title in volleyball history, St. Michael the Archangel wins the Missouri Class 4 state championship. They played a competitive schedule on both sides of the state line this season to prepare them for a title run. </p>

<p><strong>6. Lee's Summit North (30-8) Prev: 7</strong></p>

<p>Second place in the Missouri top class, Lee's Summit North, was downed by defending state champion Lafayette. </p>

<p><strong>7. Mill Valley (33-6) Prev: 1</strong></p>

<p>Mill Valley would finish the season 3rd in Kansas 6A after knocking off Olathe Northwest in the consolation match. </p>

<p><strong>8. Oak Grove (35-1-1) Prev: 6</strong></p>

<p>Oak Grove's attempt at a perfect season came up short in the semifinal of Missouri Class 3, where they were upended by Helias in five. They bounced back to win the 3rd place match in straight sets. [player_tooltip player_id='556998' first='Paisley' last='Hudson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='557372' first='Piper' last='Hudson'] were tremendous. </p>

<p><strong>13. Park Hill (19-5) Prev: 10</strong></p>

<p>I figure if I can include Oak Grove, let's do East Buchanan, which is just outside KC. East Buch lost two five-set matches in Missouri Class 2 to finish 4th. [player_tooltip player_id='815709' first='Layla' last='Watkins'] finishes her career with a 15-kill performance. </p>
