Hauskins was a dynamic player on Clackamas High School’s JV team, showcasing her versatility as both a setter and an outside hitter. Being only a freshman, she was not afraid to take on a leadership role for her team. “Madi is a great team player and others look to her for leadership on and off the court,” said Coach Alexe Navarro. She is currently playing all around as a setter and an outside hitter for Portland Volleyball Club’s 16-1 National team. With the Cavaliers graduating seven seniors in 2020, Hauskins will have an opportunity to make her way onto the Varsity squad for the 2020 season.

MacCallum was a force on Central Catholic High School’s JV team, showcasing her versatility as both a middle blocker and an outside hitter. She became a go-to attacker for the team and was never afraid to swing away. She is currently playing as a middle blocker for Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy 15-1 National team. “Shannon is an undersized middle, but she is very effective. She is very athletic and quick and uses this to her advantage. She is great at making herself available in transition and hits a slide extremely well,” said coach TJ Schlatter. With the Rams graduating eight seniors, six of which are attackers, in 2020, MacCallum will have an opportunity to make her way onto the Varsity squad for the 2020 season.

[player_tooltip player_id="91332" first="Taylor" last="Bell"], DS, West Linn High School, Portland Volleyball Club

Even though Bell was the lone freshman on the West Linn High School JV team, she did not let that stop her. She became a steady libero for the Lions with her quick movements on defense and solid serve receive, keeping her team as in-system as possible. She is currently playing as a defensive specialist for Portland Volleyball Club’s 16-1 National team. With the Lions graduating two defensive specialists in 2020, Bell will have an opportunity to make her way onto the Varsity squad for the 2020 season.

[player_tooltip player_id="91343" first="Lauren" last="Patterson"], 5’4", DS, Sunset High School, Athena Volleyball Academy

Patterson was a vital player on Sunset High School’s JV team, showcasing her athleticism as their primary libero. She brought her quick defensive movements and her killer back row attack to the Apollos. She is currently a libero for Athena Volleyball Academy’s 15-1 National team. With the Apollos libero graduating in 2020, Patterson will have an opportunity to make her way onto the Varsity squad for the 2020 season.

Kaelin was an all-around outside hitter on Lake Oswego High School’s JV team, using her great court sense to rack up kills and not let any ball hit the floor. “Vivi is a versatile, six-rotation player who transitioned from playing libero to being one of our strongest hitting options on the outside,” says coach Robyn Barton. The younger sister of Jensen Kaelin, an incoming freshman for Arizona State University’s beach program, and [player_tooltip player_id="91135" first="Kendall" last="Kaelin"], a University of Hawaii beach volleyball commit, Kaelin had the opportunity to grow up watching competitive play while sometimes getting in on the action, and it paid off. She is currently harnessing her beach skills at Dakine Beach Volleyball, which will translate nicely onto the court. “In my opinion, beach volleyball has shaped her into an extremely smart offensive player who can quickly recognize opportunities against the defense,” says Barton. With the Lakers graduating six seniors in 2020, Kaelin will have an opportunity to make her way onto the Varsity squad for the 2020 season.

The younger sister of Mackenzie Fedota, a 6’1” middle blocker for Loyola Maryland, Fedota had the opportunity to grow up watching competitive play while sometimes getting in on the action, and it paid off. “Mia is not afraid to swing away but also knows where to place the ball to get a kill, she is quite the analytical player. She is hardworking and a team player,” says coach Natalie Nielsen. She is currently playing middle blocker for Rose City Volleyball Club’s 16-1 team. With the Blues graduating their middle in 2020, Fedota will have an opportunity to make her way onto the Varsity squad for the 2020 season.
