<p>The [program_tooltip program_id='431948' first='Iowa' last='Rockets'] program continues its evolution into 2026. One of the older clubs in the state, it's facing more competition for players than it ever has before. New organizations pop up annually. </p>

<p>This year's 17R squad worked through a transition season as 16 year olds in 2025. While several key pieces of the team returned, new faces in important places were blended into the unit. Progress occurred and chemistry was built.</p>

<p>The team is hoping that momentum carries over into a new campaign. The foundation is strong. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='316419' first='Edie' last='Miller']'s high level of play in the back row makes any team challenging for opponents. The passing is crisp and the defense stellar. The Dayton commitment picked up 480 digs for Iowa City Liberty this fall, also handing out 113 assists in leading the Lightning to the regional final.</p>

<p>Miller is joined on Rockets 17R by her twin sister, [player_tooltip player_id='316380' first='Hadley' last='Miller']. Hadley is a setter by trade, but a versatile player that helps all around the court. Her attack and overall defense continues improving. She's coming off a junior season that saw her dish out 758 assists to go with 133 kills, 306 digs and 25.0 blocks.</p>

<p>It's a big club season for [player_tooltip player_id='316380' first='Hadley' last='Miller'] in searching for a college home. The same can be said for talented middle hitter [player_tooltip player_id='493658' first='Hattie' last='Galloway'] from Iowa City High. She continued her steady ascension during the 2025 prep season, producing 270 kills (.321), 73.0 blocks and 107 digs.</p>

<p>Galloway and [player_tooltip player_id='316419' first='Edie' last='Miller'] earned second-team all-state honors in Class 5A, and were joined on the all-district team by [player_tooltip player_id='316380' first='Hadley' last='Miller']. The trio has come up through the Rockets program along with others in a good group around them.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='755481' first='Layla' last='Green'] returns to the squad after enjoying another strong prep year for Washington. She recorded 172 kills (.318) and led the team with 45.0 blocks as an explosive athlete that plays taller than her height. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='555788' first='Kendra' last='Nolton'] brings more firepower to 17R after making the move from United to Rockets for 2026. The junior paced Grinnell with 263 kills. She added 153 digs and 39.0 blocks to the Tigers. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='833921' first='Kaylee' last='Hagstrom'] is back with Rockets following a junior year at Prairie that saw her limited. She stands out for her versatility and helping her team wherever it needs the help. Davis County's [player_tooltip player_id='840251' first='Dani' last='Piper'] also comes back after taking a step forward during the 16R season. </p>

<p>Solon's Harper Nicholson adds depth to the 17R roster as a player that can operate effectively in the middle of the net or at the opposite pin. Her Spartan classmate, Addi Walter, is a season better after contributing all around to the varsity cause in 2025.</p>

<p>Rainie Pfohl has flashed potential in the past, whether it be while playing up for Adrenaline last season or with Iowa City High in the fall. </p>
