<p>We're rolling along with our 2026 Club Team Preview series here on Prep Dig Iowa. The goal is highlighting as many teams as possible before we get the season underway next month. Then we'll shift to scouting reports and roundups from real matches.</p>

<p>The 16U year in club volleyball is as important as any other and more consequential than most. The majority of the participants will be performing to impress college coaches, who can contact them directly and offer scholarships in June.</p>

<p>Iowa Select 16U Mizuno features a roster full of student-athletes that will be hearing from staffs at the next level. A strong spring and summer on the circuit will elevate their recruiting profiles.</p>

<p>The team will lean heavily on a pair of sophomores that helped Davenport Assumption win the Class 3A state title last month. Six-rotation outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='694203' first='Belle' last='Cotton'] and [player_tooltip player_id='742600' first='Piper' last='Hodge'], a libero/defensive specialist, already have put themselves on the radar of coaches on the next level. </p>

<p>Cotton, who started as a freshman in during a state tournament run in 2024, raised her level of play this fall. She ranked second among the Knights with 248 kills (.255) and 249 digs. Her 36.0 blocks also were among the most on the squad. </p>

<p>Her Assumption classmate, Hodge, led the team with 448 digs as a first-year starter. Her 79 assists illustrated her ability to set up teammates off of the two ball. </p>

<p>Another Knight will be lining up for Select 16U Mizuno. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='523167' first='Natalie' last=''] DePoorter is playing up on this team after seeing action on the varsity in the fall. She should fill are larger role for Assumption in 2026 and a strong club campaign will go a long way in making that happen.</p>

<p>Speaking of potential, Select will have one packed with it in the middle of the net. Six-foot-three Prince of Peace sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='783286' first='Taylor' last='Evans'] is ascending as a college prospect after producing 145 kills, 46.0 blocks and 119 digs in 2025. She's tall but also skilled.</p>

<p>More impact at the net comes in the form of Northeast sophomore outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='750391' first='Amber' last='Mullin']. During the 2025 campaign, she produced 139 kills, the second most among Rebels. The 10th-grader added 67 digs and 23.0 blocks. </p>

<p>Davenport Cenrtral's [player_tooltip player_id='813413' first='Falyn' last='Mussmann'] flashed upside as a sophomore this fall. She contributed 62 kills with 29.0 blocks and 31 digs. The 6-foot-1 prospect can line up at a pin or in the middle. </p>

<p>Three members of Iowa Select 17U Mizuno hail from Illinois. </p>

<p>Fulton's [player_tooltip player_id='771625' first='Chloe' last='Wilkin'] averaged 2.5 kills per set in 55 played during 2025 after posting 2.6 as a freshman, hitting over .200 both years. The 6-footer also posted 38.0 blocks and came up with 20 digs.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='774499' first='Kennedy' last='Livengood'] enjoyed a super sophomore season for Milledgeville, averaging 3.6 kills in 77 sets with a hitting percentage above .200. She added 222 digs and 31.0 blocks. </p>

<p>Lola Wainwright averaged 5.7 assists in 89 sets as the starting setter for Port Byron Riverdale High. She also chipped in with 134 digs. </p>
