DMV Exposure Tour: DS Dynamos Dominated Pt. 2

She was one of the biggest bright spots for her team last year, and is still developing, getting a little better every time I see her. She made a few good digs during drills I got to see her in, and then I saw some good passing during game play. Stepping up to that level of club play, this is poised to be a big year for her, I'll be excited to see what she looks like later in the season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='921822' first='Jaeda' last='Diaz'] - 2027 - [program_tooltip program_id='730175' first='Legacy' last='Volleyball Academy']</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here's another one that was given to me by the coaches on a court, and it was on that same court of wealth that had some of my top 'bros on it. She's tiny, but she's fast, and had a ton of hustle, got to some tough balls and passed them well in the little window I saw her. She was right there keeping pace with the top DS dogs and didn't look out of place, which is enough to earn her some press and a longer look during the season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='781700' first='Gianna' last='Bonnett'] - 2029 - BAVA</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gianna is another one of the big up and coming talents. She plays with that fantastic group of Freshman that won it all at AACS this year, and is one of the bigger DS I see consistently. She's around the 5'5-5'6 range and uses it well, she has no trouble getting to ground with that frame, and isn't afraid of the big shots. She's got some talent with her on that BAVA 15s team that went to nationals last year, so it should be interesting to see how that goes this season. The strength of their team was their great back row defense and how deep they are, which she is a major part of. It's a situation where you wonder if there are enough minutes for them back there, also having [player_tooltip player_id='783298' first='Olivia' last='Wheeler'] and [player_tooltip player_id='763146' first='Jemma' last='Peterson'] that need reps, it's a wealth of riches, but it appears she's adding some setting to the resume, so I'll be interested to talk to her and see how that's working out for her when I catch her during the season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='747458' first='Angelie' last='Rose Carrasco'] - 2029 - [program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last='']</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This one is another one that's up there with Kayla Tutoni, she's young, she's small, she's got a motor that won't quit, and she might be the most talkative DS I've ever seen. Constantly picking up her teammates, cheering, keeping them focused and out of their head, that's a major leadership skill and a bonus to see in your Liberos. She goes 100mph constantly, she gets the ball up, she keeps her team fired up, she's the kind of glue player that you hunt for, like a Lexi Rodriguez. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Honorable Mention - Here's a few I didn't get to see a lot of, but I've got on my radar to see more of:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='756342' first='Olivia' last='Baick'] - 2029 - [program_tooltip program_id='484770' first='VA' last='Juniors']</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='907660' first='Sadie' last='Kaplow'] - 2029 - Legacy</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='740350' first='Alexandra' last='Bracewell'] - 2027 - 540 VBC</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='767523' first='Grace' last='Morgan'] -2028 - Roanoke United - She's recovering from some pretty big injuries.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'm going to keep my eye on this group and try to get them some more press during the season. Just only so much time at these events and when you've got to cover 60% of the total attendance it's tough to see them all enough to have something to write about, but I'll be watching for them as the season bears on and will give some updates. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
