Spencer can effectively backpedal and do overhead passes. Spencer makes the simple passes and lunges when needed to track down balls not far from her. She's developing good range and improving her control. She'll continue to find ways to better balls as the season progresses.

O'Bryan has the skills to do some great things for both MAVA and Bethlehem not just this year, but for years to come. O'Bryan makes good adjustments to place balls away from opponents. O'Bryan deposits ones to different parts of the court. O'Bryan also makes good first touches. She needs some work on her control, but that will come with repititions.

Hunt gave Washington County a great option offensively in the fall. Hunt takes nice rips and sends hard crosses across the court. She does a good job getting on top of balls. She does a good job making crisp first touches then changing to her offensive stance.

Frank is benefitting from extra repetitions. Frank squares her body up to balls to make smooth first touches and help the 15 Black team jumpstart the offense. Frank takes nice swings and has a tough jump serve. Her dedication to the game will pay off in other ways throughout her career.

Note from the Writer

Mike Graham has been writing for Prep Dig for two years and has enjoyed getting to know the volleyball scenes in both Kentucky and Ohio.
