Watching her compete on the right pin has been fun to see her increase her impact with the ability to score from that side of the court along with using her athleticism to get up and defend by filling up good space when blocking. As primary hitter, she consistently contacts high and can drive the ball well when she finds open space. At 6'0, her athleticism shows up in how hard she can hit the ball and the range she can create with her platform defensively. More dynamic approach footwork will maximize her lift and touch point abilities more frequently. When setting, she shows good force and extension in the pocket and on the move. As a hitter, she swings aggressively at both pins. She contributes in the serve receive phase with good reaction and angle production, while also proving her defensive tools to include quick reactions and range. She and her team are currently competing in Las Vegas at the Red Rock Rave, finishing 2-1 on the first day to stay in Division I on day two.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Serving as Ohio's lead scout for several years, Mike Bryant hails from the west coast where he has competed and coached from Washington to California while learning the game from some of the best minds and mentors. He has been involved with volleyball for over three decades as a DI coach and recruiting coordinator as well as a club director. In addition to evaluating elite talent and helping them get to the next level, some of his best memories include serving on the volleyball staff with Washington during their 2005 NCAA DI title season and supporting his 17U team to the 2023 Triple Crown NIT elite division gold medal. His biggest passion in the sport is helping to grow the game. In addition to promoting emerging prep talent, he continues to mentor coaches and athletes across the country as a certified lead coach for Gold Medal Squared.
