Day 2 delivered everything you could ask for—gritty three-set battles, statement wins, and teams leaving it all on the floor. The intensity was high across every division, and it's clear that nothing is coming easy at this stage.   With bids on the line in Open, USA, and Liberty, several teams have positioned themselves for a serious run. Now it all comes down to who can finish. We're locked in and can't wait to see who punches their ticket.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Gold Bracket Bound </h2>   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">17 USA </h3>   AZ Sky 17 Blue — This group was one of our early picks to make a run at a bid, and they've backed it up with strong play throughout the tournament. They head into tomorrow ranked #4, setting up a tough opening matchup against the #5 seed—a team that's already secured a bid.   It's not going to be easy, but with the way Sky 17 Blue has been competing, they've proven they can hang with anyone. Don't be surprised to see them seal the deal.   Standout: [player_tooltip player_id='914160' first='Avery' last='Crain'] played lights-out defense for her squad, making her presence felt in every rally. She's a smart, instinctive player who reads the game exceptionally well and consistently puts herself in position to make a play.   What stands out most is her ability to get a touch on even the toughest balls, turning near-impossible plays into opportunities and keeping her team in the point.   Atomic 17 Smack Premier — On the other side of the bracket, Atomic comes in already holding a Liberty bid from Vegas, but they're clearly hungry for more. They've embraced the challenge of competing up and have proven they belong at this level.   Heading into tomorrow as the #6 seed, they'll face the #3 in what should be a battle. But with the way they've risen to the occasion all weekend, don't be surprised if this group makes a serious push for a higher-level bid.   Standout: [player_tooltip player_id='877239' first='Shia' last='Chancellor'] is a fantastic pin and brings such good energy each and every time she steps out on the floor. She elevates the level of play of those around her and is determined to get a higher bid for her team.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">17 Liberty </h3>   Omni 17N1- This team battled their way into the Gold bracket, coming out on top in multiple three-way ties and proving just how resilient they are. They've shown grit, composure, and the ability to perform under pressure when it matters most. They'll have a tough test ahead against the #1 seed, but with the way they've competed—and the upsets they've already pulled off—this is a group that can't be counted out.   Standout: [player_tooltip player_id='914102' first='Amarie' last='Smith'] was a dominant presence on the right side, making her impact felt in the biggest moments. She put up strong blocks and delivered clutch kills when her team needed them most. She never backs down from a challenge, competing with confidence and edge—and it paid off throughout the match.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">16 USA</h2>   Livewire 16 Prime -This team has made a clear statement, holding onto the #1 spot throughout the tournament—even through tight, hard-fought matches. They've shown consistency, composure, and the ability to execute under pressure.   They're within reach of that bid—you can feel how close they are. If they continue to play like the well-oiled machine they've been, it's theirs to lose.   Standout: [player_tooltip player_id='888726' first='Carsen' last='Steinkamp'] brought relentless, all-out defense and a scrappy edge to every rally. She was rock solid in serve receive, consistently delivering quality passes and never letting up.   Her effort and determination stand out—you can tell she's willing to do whatever it takes to help her team reach their goal of earning a bid.   Atomic 16 Smack Premier - They've battled all tournament long, going toe-to-toe with strong competition and proving they belong. They've held steady at the #6 seed, showing resilience and the ability to compete in tight matches.   They head into tomorrow ready to battle, with a clear goal of continuing to prove themselves and make a statement.   Standout: [player_tooltip player_id='916654' first='Averi' last='Prieto'] plays with grit, tenacity, and fire. She's there for her hitters on coverage, and she's making the reads on defense. She was a big reason her team is in gold, and we can't wait to see her continue to deliver.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">16 Liberty </h2>   Omni 16N1 - This team surged past the #3 seed and carries real momentum into tomorrow. They're gelling at the right time, playing with energy, confidence, and a clear sense of purpose.   If they keep this level, they're set up to make some noise—we're excited to see how they build on it.   Standout(s): [player_tooltip player_id='882692' first='Gracie' last='Pearson'] was a true six-rotation anchor for her team, impacting the game in every phase. She delivered lethal swings, applied pressure from the service line with a tough, effective serve, and backed it up with strong, reliable defense. Her all-around play made her a major contributor to her team's success and a constant presence on the court.   AZ Valley Heat - This team was explosive on the offensive end, creating multiple scoring threats and putting constant pressure on their competition. They played fast, aggressive, and confident all day.   Heading into Gold as the #6 seed, they're a dangerous group—one that could make a serious run if they keep this momentum going.   Standout(s): [player_tooltip player_id='960900' first='Michala' last='Robertson'] was a dominant force at the net, impacting the game on both sides of the ball. She put up strong, well-timed blocks and made smart offensive decisions, mixing in tips and swings to keep defenses off balance. Her energy was contagious, bringing a spark to the court and elevating those around her.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">15 USA </h2>   Club One 15 Platinum - Holding strong to the #1 seed all tournament long, this team has proven they're the standard. They've shown they belong among the top 15s teams in Arizona—and on the national stage. Now it's about finishing. With everything in front of them, we're excited to see if they can close it out tomorrow.   Standout(s): [player_tooltip player_id='882629' first='Kinley' last='Beaudoin'] continues to impress us with with her heavy arm swing and her ability to see the court and score. She's got great energy and we can't wait to see her continue to compete with this team.   Boltz 15U Desert Aces - This team has made it clear they belong in the national conversation—and they're proving it with their play. After going 3-0 on Day 1 and finishing 2-1 on Day 2, they've shown they can compete and win at a high level. They're a dangerous group that can take over on any given day.   Note: Didn't get a chance to watch this crew play, but will absolutely be making it a point to watch them tomorrow.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">15 Open </h2>   Aspire 15 Alpha- Competing at the highest level, this team has made a strong statement and represented well. They've embraced the challenge of top-tier competition and found ways to come out on top. They've put themselves in a great position heading into tomorrow, and we're excited to see how they continue to rise to the moment.   Standout(s): [player_tooltip player_id='885187' first='Rylee' last='Asanovich'] continues to run the floor with confidence and ease, setting the tone for her team every time she's on the court. She's not just facilitating—she's a scoring threat as well, finding ways to terminate and make an impact offensively.
