Talent To Follow From Day 1 of the JVA World Challenge

A three day extravaganza of talent has descended upon Louisville with the JVA World Challenge kicking off today and continuing throughout Sunday. Pool play today brought a mix of teams facing off against each other with athletes tapping into their honed skills producing competitive play! We uncovered some amazing prospects that are flying under the radar but loaded with skill and athleticism that impressed us on day one!    Harper brings talent to match her size on the court! She shows excellent command of the net and forces the opposition to adjust around her with her extensive reach and well timed blocks. She moves easily up and down the net and reads the oppositions setter well. She executes an excellent swing to get on top of balls producing nice kills with good placement and power with good contact. Harper communicates well with her teammates, covers with diligence and is a force on the frontline.     Calla (pictured) is loaded with talent and athleticism. She is fast on the court, has an excellent wrist snap and gets a great lofty vertical from a big approach producing excellent swings getting on top of balls to get them down making a return difficult. She has a solid block with excellent timing and height and can stuff one quickly and effectively. She transitions fast off the net, calls for the ball and is ready to deliver. She shows excellent court IQ making herself available and ready, with excellent energy and consistency. Love her play.     Lucie plays with confidence and a big skill set. She has a good platform with great hands and an accurate release that's accurate with good tempo. She will perform a great backset, adjust herself easily to make great passes to her pins and equally as well to her middles showing great use of her whole front line. Lucie is quick to the ball without being frantic and runs the court efficiently and smoothly with smart plays reading the offence and showing good court IQ. She will dump a ball at the opportune time and is quick to make a sneaky tip without giving herself away. She is enthusiastic and efficient and looks to have a bright future with her play.     Ainsley is another big presence at the net! Showing good court IQ she is a smart player that reads the opposition well. She has a good swing connecting with perfect contact and can find the seams with her hits. She can play well tight to the net or equally well off of it and is quick to transition with a nice ready stance and fake. Her block is solid and she has good reach and timing forcing the opposition to adjust. She is an enthusiastic player and supports her teammates well on the court. She produces on the court.     Maddie has some impressive swings with great ball control and power. She can hit deep to the back line and will make the offence back up routinely. She has a nice cross court shot to rack up kills with a nice approach, or she can switch it up with a kill down the line. She moves quickly to position herself and doesn't need the perfect set to swing. She can get up for the block and can pass up accurately with a good platform and technique playing a full rotation. She is supportive of her teammates on the court and has good drive.
