[player_tooltip player_id='480817' first='Kendall' last='Hubbard'] - [program_tooltip program_id='431827' first='Elevation' last=''] 17 Chicas
Hubbard, committed to Miami (OH), has been highlighted with high praise in the past. Watching her [program_tooltip program_id='431827' first='Elevation' last=''] 17 Chicas team compete this weekend as one of the favorites in the 17 National division, she deserves a shout out for her elite skills and effort in guiding her team through a dominant run through their first few matches, which led to a gutsy 2-1 win over NOVA 17 Navy to close out their Sunday action. The standard she sets in her role, with her athleticism and mechanics, is one that stands out in any match she competes in. She is deliberate in her preparation to be stopped and patient with efficiency that follows in how she steps towards the ball. The consistency in that effort equates to consistency in her contact followed by the tempo and location needed to get her chosen hitter into a great situation.

[player_tooltip player_id='806313' first='Leah' last='Hazuda'] - TVC 17 Black
Hazuda has been noticed and instantly she is establishing her stock in the 2027 class as an experienced setter who can contribute very effectively in other ways as well. Her athleticism and volleyball tools combine to help her impact on the game. Additionally, how she connects with her teammates around her is a big asset to their play collectively. As she can get up and take terminally effective swings, she also can defend in the back row. Her setting earlier this weekend stood out as she plays steady volleyball in her action that leads to effective delivery to both pins and in between. At 3-3 on the weekend, TVC 17 Black's losses are to gold bracket teams as they enter the final day in silver bracket play.

Gabi Weidemann - AVC 16 Red
AVC 16 Red has been dominant over two days of play winning all matches so far by a 2-0 outcome with no team earning more than 15 points in a single set. Weidemann has been sharing the setting role all season and was solid on Sunday with her floor leadership and direction. AVC is a premier club in Ohio in the phase of ball control, which means their setters are in system often. Weidemann is very good at controlling her action composed as well as assertive in her decisions. She can deliver tempo with consistent hand position that makes her a tough read and that can get her attackers into good situations with pressure on the defense from her choices.

[player_tooltip player_id='955806' first='Emma' last='Butler'] - NOVA 16 Navy
Butler is a 5'9 setter with good movement in her footwork and how she adjusts her finish to be able to get the ball to any hitter in most situations. There is a quality in her pursuit of the ball and overall effort that is developing a good foundation as she continues to grow her game through this club season with a good corps of hitters around her. The balance of arms they have is stretching her abilities to be able to get them all involved and she commands that well, including taking good risks to sling the ball against the flow.

Molly Bican - [program_tooltip program_id='431851' first='MVC' last=''] 16 Danny
Bican is now on the radar after getting a good look at her with her [program_tooltip program_id='431851' first='MVC' last=''] team. She ran a 5-1 and controlled the ball well to find hitters at the right times, while also helping to keep them involved in the right ways. One element that stood out is her decision to repeat hitters, especially her middles, within the same point sequence, which can put pressure on an opponent to have to respect the range of their offense more and for longer periods. [program_tooltip program_id='431851' first='MVC' last=''] has some good power and Bican can put them into good situations to be successful at managing their swings.
