SLC wasn't about who could put up stats; it was about who could handle first contact, step into out-of-system swings, and still find ways to score against organized blocks. These athletes didn't wait for the game to come to them. They went and got it.   You could see it across courts when rallies broke down, or rotations got tough, the ball found them. High balls, transition swings, serve-receive passes that had to be clean to keep tempo, these players took responsibility and delivered. They played with confidence, made smart choices, and kept their teams moving forward. These are the ones who controlled key stretches and gave their teams a chance when it mattered most. I saw her take high, out-of-system swings and still find ways to score, using high hands, deep corners, and staying aggressive even when the set wasn't perfect. There were multiple rallies where the play broke down and she still delivered a composed, terminal swing to finish the point. What really stood out was when she rotated to the back row and stepped in to set, delivering clean, on-tempo balls without hesitation and keeping her hitters in rhythm. Offensively, she stayed disciplined in her approach, got up on a true quick, and finished when given the opportunity. Middles who can control the net defensively and still be a reliable scoring option stand out immediately, and she consistently did both. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas     Jayla Love brought physicality and energy to the middle, creating challenges for opposing offenses with her length and timing. She showed an ability to read the setter and get her hands in strong positions to disrupt swings. Offensively, she stayed aggressive in transition and showed flashes of being a reliable quick-tempo option. She was effective in transition, adjusting to off-system sets and still finding ways to terminate through high hands or deep corners. Her shot selection and composure under pressure made her a steady option on the pin. She created space with her approach and delivered a heavy swing, while also mixing in shots to keep defenders off balance. Her competitiveness stood out as she stayed engaged and applied pressure point after point.
