Next Up: Class of 2030 Pins Showing Dominance Early

From explosive arms and high volleyball IQ to six-rotation versatility and relentless work ethic, Nevada's young outsides and opposites are beginning to separate themselves early. The future of Nevada volleyball on the pins looks extremely bright.    It's hard to believe Kokoro is only in her first year playing volleyball because she already moves with the confidence and mechanics of a much more experienced athlete. Her quick arm swing, clean approach mechanics, and natural snap allow her to generate impressive power for her age. She's also fearless defensively and willing to hit the floor to keep balls alive. Add in a 9'4” touch and elite athletic upside, and the ceiling becomes extremely exciting. Kokoro's karate background is noticeable in the way she carries herself with discipline, focus, and body control. She is still only scratching the surface of what she could become in this sport. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @prepdignv     Madison already shows advanced offensive mechanics that separate her from many players in her age group. Her approach, arm swing, and especially her hip-to-arm separation allow her to generate serious power on her attacks. She is not limited to front-row scoring either, contributing offensively from the back row and creating matchup problems all over the court. Madison has the type of game that immediately catches attention because she's a consistent difference maker on the floor. Expect her name to continue gaining attention over the next several years. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @prepdignv     Harper has been one of the most noticeable young pin hitters in Nevada this season. She combines a powerful arm with a long, explosive approach that helps her maximize her jump and contact point. What makes Harper especially dangerous is her ability to score in multiple ways. She can attack cross-court, sharp angle, or down the line with confidence and control. Her commitment to extra reps and improving her craft shows in her play. Harper immediately stood out while competing with Top Flight 14 Black this season, and she also proved she could compete up an age group while helping Top Flight 15s go undefeated and capture the Emperor's Cup 15s championship bracket. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @prepdignv     Avery has established herself as a reliable scoring threat on the pin. Primarily playing opposite, she can also be effective from either side and consistently finds ways to terminate rallies. Avery does a strong job putting away out-of-system balls and contributes physically at the net with her blocking presence as well. Recently attending the Under Armour Next Middle School Camp and helping her team earn a bid to USAV Nationals only adds to an already impressive young résumé. Her ability to impact both offensively and defensively makes her one to keep a close eye on moving forward. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @prepdignv     Jhalzey brings a combination of athleticism, explosiveness, and competitiveness that coaches love to see on the right side. Primarily playing opposite, she can attack effectively from either pin and does a great job reading the block to find open cross-court or line shots. Her vertical ability and strong arm swing allow her to play above the net, and she is always aggressive looking to capitalize on overpasses. As a go-to scorer for her team, she embraces pressure moments offensively. Add in her success as a multi-sport athlete and impressive 3.9 GPA, and it's easy to see why she has such a bright future ahead. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @prepdignv     Brooklyn is a very solid all-around player for her age. She has a strong approach that leads into a heavy swing and does a great job attacking through the hole in the block. She can tear up the line or turn the ball in the air, giving her different ways to score from the pin.
