All JVA Team: Indiana Honors, Part 1

Twelve of them come from the state of Indiana, of which five will be honored in this article. These five are already committed or signed to play somewhere in the fall of their graduating years, and are undeniably some of the top players Indiana has, regardless of club origin. Angola's success revolves directly around Maya's success, both at the net and behind the base line. She's a legitimate winner wherever she goes, and left school a <em>little</em> bit early to join her Indiana University teammates on their recent trip to Spain and Portugal this summer. Yes, she's known for her ability to take over a match offensively, but her all-around game will carry well into her career at Illinois. As part of the dark-horse favorite in 4A volleyball next fall, Carsyn's leadership, above all of her physical abilities, allows the players around her to get better in a hurry. Yes, the Kentucky commit will probably be asked to do WAY more passing than hitting in the SEC, she's still a relentless player with athleticism for days and never takes a play off, ever. I like this kid a lot—-mostly because of that tough competitiveness that she brings—-but the extra gear of toughness that just isn't seen from volleyball players in Indiana is a refreshing change from the same-old, same-old of competitive volleyball in the Hoosier State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
