Carsyn is THE top recruit in Indiana for the class of ‘27, and is committed to a Louisville squad that has spent the better part of the last decade in the top ten in Division 1. Driven, strong and talented, Carsyn’s relentless demeanor is only upstaged by her high character.

Playing up two years for the Samurai (18-1), Carsyn is an easy pick for a Power 4 middle that can do everything you need a high-level middle to do at the next level. Smooth on the attack, calculated and well-disciplined on the block and quick in her transition between the two, Miss Comer’s only question mark is improving her overall stamina. After training with the Samurai this spring, a Power 4 college season might be easier for her in the long run.

The clear #1 recruit in the class of 2027, Carsyn plays up TWO years for the Samurai as their M1. Long, lean, fast and athletic, Miss Comer can take over a match in a moment’s notice, either on offense or defense. Regardless of the match situation, where the ball is set, or what block she has in front of her, she can hit any shot at any time, with pace and purpose. Carsyn is a no-doubt Power Four recruit, and should start receiving offers this summer.

Our top recruit in this class needs no introduction. Playing for the Samurai at Munciana (read: 18-1), she’s already well on her way to dominating all comers for years to come in her club and high school careers. Big, physical and intimidating, Carsyn can terminate at will in front of and behind the setter in any tempo and in any situation. Miss Comer is a Power Four recruit if there ever was one in this class, and it’s only a matter of time before the offers roll in.

I know I’ve mentioned her before, but Carsyn moving into the #1 slot on our rankings has its reasons. She is far and away the best middle prospect in the class of ’27. Her attacks are quick and high, her defense is disciplined, and her volleyball IQ is through the roof. I remember watching her dominate play back in August at our Stock Up Showcase, but the setting she saw wasn’t consistent from drill to drill. It didn’t seem to matter, as Carsyn found ways to terminate regardless of situation or setter.

A no-doubt, high-rising, terminating middle has ascended to the top of our list for the class of ’27. When you earn a roster spot with the Samurai (an 18s team) as a sophomore, you’ve truly earned it. Arguably the top recruit in the midwest in this class, Carsyn is a can’t-miss prospect that is a Power Four recruit, and one of the best middles to come out of Indiana in quite some time.
