Texas Right Sides to See at Nationals

The biggest moment of the season has arrived for club volleyball teams from all over the country, as, starting on Thursday, the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship will take place in Indiana.   The tournament that will crown the national champions in the U14, U15, U16 and U17 age groups will reunite as many as 2,119 teams at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium until July 3, with 24 divisions in competition.   Dozens of Texas teams will make the trip up North, and the absolute best players from the Lone Star State will be in action over the next few days trying to help their teams cap their seasons off with national titles. We're now featuring five of them at each position who will be in action in the highly competitive Open division.   These right side hitters have big roles in their teams:    Rhodes will be with the Dallas Skyline 15 Royal - David team in the 15 Open Division. A big right side hitter, she brings a lot of physicality to the net with her play, but uses her excellent vision and decision-making to make the absolute most of it. Rhodes' offense is very powerful, as she fires strong swings with her skilled left arm, but there's also a lot of vision behind her efficiency, especially in out-of-system plays. Her blocking presence is consistently a factor, as she thrives by reading opponents well, adjusting her positioning accordingly and pressing them above the net. The right side hitter also has solid technical skills and can drop back to help her team in serve-receive if needed.      Walker and her [program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last=''] 15's N Green are entered in the 15 Open Division of the National Championship. She can play on either pin, but is mostly used on the right with them, serving as their go-to scorer. Extremely athletic, Walker makes a strong approach on offense and gets off the floor very well, a combination that often puts her in a great position to beat blockers and defenders to score. She's very consistent with her production and does a great job of finding ways to hit around the block, using her firepower to overcome opposing defenders on the back row.      Pease's Alamo 16 Premier team is set to compete in the 16 Open Division in Indiana. She makes a major impact for them by combining size, power, mobility and a very high volleyball IQ. Pease is an elite blocker who can shut down even the most skilled hitters at the net. She's very intentional and consistent in every step of her blocking actions, moving quickly, remaining open to make adjustments and pressing opponents with her long arms. Very athletic, she makes the most of her physical tools to perform at the net and challenge taller opponents on the right. Bradley's explosive offensive approach makes of her a prolific point-scorer, as she has enough power to put the ball down with swings that go straight down or by tooling the block. She's very consistent offensively and rarely makes an error with her swings. Bradley also stands out for her blocking ability, making the most of her leaping ability and showing excellent vision to anticipate moves from opponets up at the net.      Brown will be in action with the [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] 17 Royal team that will appear in the 17 Open Division. An extremely well-rounded player, her influence in the team's game stretches well beyond offense, making of her a key cog in their playing system. Brown is very difficult to stop offensively because she makes contact with the ball at a high point and typically picks precision over power, finding ways to beat blockers and defenders with well-placed swings. She also stands out for her blocking, remaining disciplined and taking up space from opponents with her aggressive hand placement.
