Prep Dig rankings are built through in-person evaluations, film review, and long-term projection. We value athletes who impact the game across multiple phases, show consistency, and compete at a high level. This Rocky Mountain Rankings series is still just getting started, and that means one important thing: movement is coming.

As our Colorado coverage continues to grow, so does the player pool. More evaluations, more film, more club tournaments, and more head-to-head matchups naturally create more movement within the rankings. So if a player checks in a little lower than before, it is not a reason to panic. It is a sign that Prep Dig Colorado is expanding, more athletes are being seen, and this class is proving to have real depth. That is a very good thing!

The Class of 2028 continues to show just how loaded the Rocky Mountain region can be. There is size, versatility, physicality, and plenty of athletes already making an impact across multiple roles. Expanding this list from 10 to 15 only scratches the surface, but it does give us a better picture of how much talent is building in this class.

Let's take a look at the updated Rocky Mountain Rankings for the Class of 2028.

1. Madlen Gloessner

Gloessner remains the clear No. 1 because of how much of the match she can control. Her length changes things immediately at the net, and she continues to cover a ton of ground as a blocker. Offensively, she stays dangerous in multiple routes and does a great job attacking seams with speed and timing. When a player can impact the game this heavily on both sides of the ball, it is hard to move her anywhere but the top spot.

2. Norah Hollis

Hollis makes a strong debut at No. 2 and immediately adds another high-level talent to this class. She brings a polished feel to her game and shows the kind of presence that stands out early. Additionally, she impacts points with confidence and carries herself like a player comfortable in big moments. As more evaluations come in, Hollis feels like a player who belongs right in the middle of the conversation near the top.

3. Catarina Harzbecker

Harzbecker slides to No. 3, but make no mistake, she remains one of the most complete setters in the class. Her size still creates problems, and she does a great job controlling the flow of the offense while keeping tempo steady. She also handles out-of-system moments well and gives her team another option when she chooses to be aggressive herself. The overall skill set is still strong, and she remains firmly in the top tier of this group.

4. Kylee Mayes

Mayes continues to rise because of how dependable she is in the backcourt. She reads the game well, gets herself in strong positions early, and rarely looks rushed in serve receive. Furthermore, her platform control and defensive discipline make her a player teams can trust over and over again. She may not be the loudest athlete on the court, but her consistency speaks for itself.

5. Makenzie Pears

Pears enters the rankings at No. 5 and gives this class yet another impactful name to know. She brings a strong blend of athleticism and confidence, and she looks comfortable taking on responsibility. There is already a lot to like in the way she moves, competes, and affects the match. As the sample size grows, Pears has the tools to keep climbing.

6. Raya Thompson

Thompson lands at No. 6 thanks to the physical tools that continue to jump out right away. She brings arm speed, length, and the kind of high contact point that creates problems for defenses. In addition, her ability to contribute from either pin adds value and makes her a difficult player to game plan for. As she continues to sharpen the details, the upside here remains very high.

7. Londyn Donaldson

Donaldson stays in the mix because of the way she plays above the net and creates an impact physically. She brings strong timing, good range, and the kind of athleticism that pops whether she is attacking or working at the net. Moreover, she continues to show tools that translate well as she develops. Her ability to influence points in multiple ways keeps her firmly inside this group.

8. Delaney Lauer

Lauer checks in at No. 8 and still looks like one of the more versatile pins in the class. She competes with confidence, contributes in multiple rotations, and continues to show a mature feel for the game. Whether she is scoring, defending, or handling serve receive responsibilities, she brings a steady all-around presence. That six-rotation value remains a major piece of her profile.

9. Reese Millar

Millar joins the rankings at No. 9 and brings a competitive edge that fits right into this group. She plays with intensity, attacks aggressively, and does a great job staying involved from start to finish. Additionally, she looks comfortable in pressure moments and competes with confidence on both sides of the ball. The more you watch her, the easier it is to see why she earned a spot here.

10. Liv Pitts

Pitts lands at No. 10 and gives the updated rankings another new name with plenty of intrigue. She brings a strong mix of athleticism and on-court confidence, and there is already a lot to like in the way she carries herself. Furthermore, she competes with purpose and shows flashes that suggest there is still plenty of room ahead. This feels like a player worth tracking closely as the evaluations continue.

11. Hanna Benz

Benz moves to No. 11, and that says more about the class growing than it does about her game. She remains a very steady back-row player with strong serve receive habits and a calm presence in first contact. On top of that, she continues to bring value as a secondary setter and does a nice job helping extend rallies. She is still very much a player who impacts the match in ways coaches appreciate.

12. Kennedy Schmidt

Schmidt stays firmly in the rankings because of the way she runs an offense. She does a nice job balancing tempo, decision-making, and distribution, while also working to keep hitters involved across the front row. Additionally, she competes well defensively and brings another layer of value outside of setting. The setter position carries a heavy load, and Schmidt continues to handle that responsibility well.

13. Addison Jones

Jones comes in at No. 13 with plenty of upside still attached to her game. She shows the ability to be a real offensive factor in the middle, and when she gets going, she can score quickly. Defensively, she also has the tools to create problems at the net and close space effectively. As she keeps stacking consistency, Jones has every chance to keep climbing.

14. Sofia Posada

Posada lands at No. 14 and continues to stand out with her motor and defensive instincts. She reads the game well, reacts quickly, and is never afraid to put herself in the middle of a scramble play. Additionally, she remains a reliable presence in serve receive and does a nice job keeping balls alive that many players would let drop. That kind of effort and feel continues to matter in a deep class like this one.

15. She brings tools that make her intriguing right away, and she competes with a confidence that shows up throughout the match. Moreover, she continues to carve out her place in a class that keeps getting stronger by the month. Breaking into this list is no small thing, and Kreutzer earns the nod here.

Looking Ahead

This updated Top 15 is still only part of the story for the Class of 2028. The biggest takeaway is not just who moved, but how much this class continues to grow. More players are emerging, more film is being reviewed, and more athletes are forcing their way into the conversation. That is exactly what we want to see.

Prep Dig Colorado is growing, and these rankings will keep growing with it. Expect more movement, more new names, and plenty more debate as we continue evaluating the Rocky Mountain region through club and high school season.

Follow along on Instagram @prepdigcolorado !

Prep Dig rankings are built through in-person evaluations, film review, and long-term projection. We value athletes who impact the game across multiple phases, show consistency, and compete at a high level. This Rocky Mountain Rankings series is still just getting started, and that means one important thing: movement is coming.
