And here is where I start earning the big bucks. It’s absolutely appalling Kylee isn’t all over the top watch lists somewhere. She’s playing for a tough Colorado Juniors team, and playing up a year since she’s a 2028. June 15th that phone better be ringing off the hook though. Her Lib skills are fantastic, good reads, quick, covers the tip well, but her serving skills are on another level. She’s got great movement on her float serve, but her control and accuracy is something I didn’t see anywhere else, including all of the open bracket. I watched her hit the corner where the tape meets on 5 consecutive serves, it was another level, especially with a serve that moves. This girl is legit, and if there aren’t D1s on speed dial, they need to be.

Mayes is a disciplined defender who doesn’t do too much, and that’s exactly why she’s effective. She holds her base, lets the play develop, and reacts at the right time. You don’t see a lot of wasted movement, and even when she has to adjust, she stays controlled through contact. Her platform is consistent, which helps keep her team in system and in rhythm. From the service line, she adds pressure with a tough float serve, placing the ball in spots that force teams out of system. It’s another area where she contributes through consistency and effectiveness.

Mayes shows great defensive form and quick movement. She doesn’t rely too much on diving, but rather her feet to get to the ball. She reads hitters well and is active in pursuit, often getting touches on balls above her platform when needed. In serve receive, Mayes shows fast feet, strong angles, and consistency holding her platform to target.
