Delaney Lauer has consistently been a leader for her team over the last several seasons, but this year brings even more excitement. Recently committed to Clemson University, Lauer has been a cornerstone of the University High School’s success since her freshman season and enters this fall looking to help lead the program to another state championship title. Offensively, she brings a powerful arm swing and impressive court vision, understanding when to attack and when to mix in a shot. Lauer rounds out her game with solid serve receive and relentless defensive play, making her an impactful six rotation presence.

Lauer had herself a night, finishing with 16 kills and a .355 hitting percentage. She came into the season as one of the top returning pins in 4A, and she wasted no time showing why. Lauer continues to bring a strong presence to the outside and looks ready for another big year.

Lauer finished last season with an impressive 402 kills while hitting .353. She continues to play with the confidence of someone who has been at the varsity level for years. Playing up a club year has also given her valuable experience against faster and more challenging competition. That experience should only add to her game as she continues to develop.
