DiMatteo was one of the standouts in the Houston Skyline 15 Royal team that finished at the top of the standings with three wins and no sets lost. A libero for her high school team College Park, she mastered the game in the back row and had a central role in serve-receive, keeping their team in system. Despite not being very tall, she also held her own at the net, making an explosive approach and showing great vision to score points. DiMatteo showed she had the firepower to put the ball down and also stood out with her shot selection, remaining efficient in every situation and making very few errors.
