About Addilyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a versatile, six rotation player who plays smart, reading the ball on defense and watching for open opportunities. I lead on the court while playing with high energy, confidence, and resiliency. I’m a powerful server and consistent passer. I work to stay on my feet, but am not afraid to layout for a ball to save a play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m determined, energetic, quick witted, and loyal. I’m resilient with a next ball mentality. I listen to my coaches and make adjustments, always trying to improve and become a better player.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

KMEA Distinguished Rating in Flute for Symphonic Band; Selected as a Young Achiever by the Lincoln Trail Youth Leadership Council

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Team Captain for 7th and 8th grade volleyball; Collected donations for Clarity Solutions bringing awareness to Teen Dating Violence; Church Nursery Volunteer. Community service projects working at the church and helping members with needs at their homes.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’m a Type 1 Diabetic, so I have to balance my medical needs with my academic and athletic performance.

What type of college are you looking for?

Colleges that offer Criminalistics, Criminal Justice, Biology/Chemistry or Forensic Science. I want to be a Forensic Scientist or Crime Scene Investigator.

Daniel is showing the desire to become a sound all-around player at the age of 13. Daniel may not put balls down on the first hit, but she adjusts on the next ball and has success hitting it to another part of the court. Daniel is developing good habits as a defensive specialist, hustling after balls even using her feet to keep plays alive. Daniels is very enthusiastic on the court. The 13 Blue team has gone 46-8 and won seven tournaments this club season.
