So dynamic.  Addy Wolfswinkel Addy Wolfswinkel 5'10" | S/RS Cherokee Washington | 2027 State IA has been entertaining to watch no matter what sport she is playing.  Her club and high school teammate Deidra Doeden Deidra Doeden 6'3" | MB Cherokee Washington | 2027 State IA are accustomed to playing on the big stage at volleyball and basketball state tournaments.  Wolfswinkel is a setter who can also attack, a true all around player.  The other side of the net always has to know what rotation she’s in and what she is able to do when the ball comes her way.  Omaha is a program who will look to make a move in a rugged Summit League that has been won by South Dakota State in the regular season the past two seasons.

As a true six-rotation setter, she brought value far beyond distribution—passing with composure, defending with urgency, and staying involved in every phase of play. Her ability to manage first contact and still transition into clean, on-tempo sets kept her offense flowing no matter the situation.

What stood out was her command of tempo. Addy understood when to speed the game up and when to settle it, consistently putting hitters in strong attacking windows. She stayed composed under pressure, made smart decisions in broken plays, and never let the moment rush her. Her presence elevated the level of play around her, making her one of the top-performing setters at Big City Luau and a true floor general throughout the weekend. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

Addy Wolfswinkel Addy Wolfswinkel 5'10" | S/RS Cherokee Washington | 2027 State IA plays the game with so much athleticism and physicality.  She packs a punch with her style of play as a setter where she has quite the range as a defender, can transition quickly to the net, and isn’t afraid to push the tempo.  She was the QB1 for Cherokee this fall, leading them to a Class 3A state tournament appearance.  She has been playing club for Salty out of Northwest Iowa and is the type of athlete who can’t go under the radar.

As a 2027 setter playing up a division, she’s not just holding her own—she’s standing out. A true six-rotation player, Addy is running the offense with confidence from the back row and stepping up as a scoring threat in the front.

Her hands are clean, her court vision is sharp, and she makes in-system and out-of-system decisions with poise. What’s even more impressive is her ability to attack as a front-row setter—she’s fearless, aggressive, and knows how to find the open floor.

She’s calm under pressure, vocal on the court, and showing next-level leadership for her age.

College coaches, this is a high-IQ setter with serious upside—keep her on your radar.

Addy Wolfswinkel Addy Wolfswinkel 5'10" | S/RS Cherokee Washington | 2027 State IA is quite the dynamic player for Cherokee where she just makes things happen.  She has been a key part of the success at Cherokee, but is also turning head on the club courts playing for Salty out of the Orange City area.  This is an up and coming program with Northwestern College coach Kyle Van Den Bosch being the lead coach.  Wolfswinkel has turned heads at Prep Dig Events where she was part of the All Showcase Team in Nebraska and will be sure to generate some momentum this spring and will look to get Cherokee back to Coralville this fall. 

Playing for Salty’s this club season, Wolfswinkel led her team into the championship match of the gold bracket at the Luau. Addy is a superb athlete. She is quick, strong, athletic, basically everything you want in a setter. She can track down anything, sets a nice clean ball, and can also attack which poses a threat in a 5-1 offense. Teams aren’t able to cheat with their blocking which spreads out the court and gives her hitters more one on one opportunities.
