was just a freshman when she made her state tournament debut. Now she is an upperclassmen leading the way for Cherokee who is quite the presence for her squad who is 18-2, ranked third in Class 3A. She is averaging three kills per set and hitting an astounding .430. The middle blocker will make the opposing side think twice about their shot. She also has nearly 60 blocks on the season. She will be one to watch for the next level with how she can change the game. The road to Xtream Arena will be an interesting one to watch in Western Iowa with the likes of Cherokee, Red Oak, Humboldt, Kuemper, and Western Christian.

is one of the most impactful middles I catch on Day 1—and she’s doing it while playing up a division. At 6’3”, she brings a commanding presence at the net, and today she’s powering up with confidence.
Her blocking is disciplined, her footwork is clean, and she gets up fast on quicks and transitions. Offensively, Deidra is a top hitter on the floor, consistently connecting for kills and using her reach to hit over and around the block.
She’s adjusting to the speed of the higher division with ease and showing she can compete at a high level.
College coaches—you’ll want to get eyes on her. This is a middle with size, skill, and upside.

If you’re looking for the most intimidating athletes from Iowa’s past showcases, Doeden is an excellent choice. Her physicality and power were immediately apparent as we began positional drills during last year’s Des Moines showcase. Doeden is impressively nimble for a middle blocker of her length, and she works hard to be an available attacker in transition. Cherokee Washington will be glad to have their show-stopping middle back in the lineup after Doeden hit 0.330 as a sophomore.

Deidra put on a show at Spikefest this weekend! She connects on slides with ease and knows how to put the ball away. Quick and agile at the net, she moves pin to pin to set up a strong block. Doeden is also rock-solid in serve receive and a powerhouse when attacking from the back row.

live for her Cherokee High School team where she was only a freshman playing in the state tournament. She is a middle blocker who can stuff it to the other side, but is also one who causes the opposing side to alter shots. Her numbers speak for itself where she is one of the top blockers from the Class of 2027 and is a name to know in Northwest Iowa.

We’ve encountered Doeden on the Prep Dig Circuit before, and she has only improved since our last meeting. During her sophomore season with Cherokee Washington, she piled up an astonishing 116 blocks, placing Doeden near the top of Iowa’s state-wide tally. The second-year star accompanied this defensive dominance with a 0.330 hitting clip to lead the Braves roster. Doeden’s wealth of high-level experience and highlight moments will serve her well at NWI Premier this spring.
