leads with volleyball IQ and composure. She identifies her strongest skill as her IQ, paired with her ability to stay calm while remaining competitive. As a setter, she is focused on squaring to the target every time, making sure her feet get there quickly so she can square early and deliver consistent tempo. Her season goal reflects a team-first mindset, to be as valuable as possible to the team’s future success. Away from the court, Ahvah enjoys reading and meeting new people, traits that align well with her calm, observant presence on the floor.

The class of 2029 is not short on top end level setters. Ahvah is another setter in this class who has the potential to be a big time player.
What made Ahvah stand out the most at the event was her strong hands and consistent release while being able to distribute the ball to whoever she needed to based on what the defense was giving her. Once she got her hands on the ball it seemed to always be placed in an ideal location for her hitters each rep/each play at the event. She really stood out with her decision making during game play as her hitters had a lot of kills throughout the game play portion.
Ahvah also showed strong leadership and was super communicative to her teammates throughout game play. Someone who can lead other top level players with her consistent energy, communication, and high IQ makes Ahvah someone you want on your team leading them into battle.
Not only did Ahvah show us some elite hands at the event she also demonstrated the ability to be a setter who can run a 5-1 as she has the athletic ability to block and be an offensive threat when called upon. In order to be a top level setter you have to be able to do more then just set, and in Ahvah you have someone who can set, play defense, and be a offensive threat. She is someone to keep an eye on in this class, and will continue to leave strong impressions on whoever sees her play.

has been nothing short of instrumental for the Sandra Day O’Connor Eagles this season. As a freshman running a 5-1 offense in Arizona’s highly competitive 6A division, she’s already proving herself as one of the top young setters in the state. With 442 assists to date, Avah currently leads all freshmen in Arizona.
Her impact doesn’t stop with setting. Avah is also a weapon from the service line, delivering 20 aces so far this season. Defensively, she’s totaled 67 digs, showing her willingness to get on the floor and keep plays alive—something that’s crucial for a setter managing all six rotations. What truly sets Avah apart is her decision-making under pressure. Her ability to read the game, run a fluid offense, and stay poised in high-stakes moments has helped elevate the Eagles to a top-five ranking in 6A.
Avah has already shown she can thrive in pressure-filled environments, and that quality alone will take her far in her volleyball career.
