One would expect a Player of the Year Nominee to put up big numbers… well how about 11 kills, 9 blocks and 3 aces in a 3-1 win over Harrison in the first game of the season. Not bad. And that is just what Aleigh did.

Lucas dominated the net on offense and defense. She anticipated what Harrison was going to do and closed out effectively stuffing the Goblin attack. A few different people have reached out to me about Aleigh Lucas Aleigh Lucas 6'0" | MB/RS Mountain Home | 2027 State AR and what she means to the Lady Bombers. I’ve had the chance to see her in person a few times, and I’ll get another look when Mountain Home competes at the Lady Cat Jamboree on August 20.

Coming off a junior season with 151 blocks and 221 kills, look for those numbers to climb even higher as a senior. Lucas brings a high level of competitiveness to the court, but just as important is the leadership she provides a young Mountain Home team.

The Lady Bombers finished 8-8 in the 5A East last season, but there is plenty of young talent on this roster. Lucas will be the veteran in the middle of it all, and if Mountain Home takes that next step this fall, you can bet she will have a lot to do with it.

After doing some digging, I came across the stats last season for Lucas. She performed at a high level in 2025. Her stats where not uploaded into MaxPreps, but I wanted to add her here. I was able to watch Aleigh at the AVA camp and she showed that she belongs on this list. She very agile at the net and closes out blocks extremely well. When it comes to her offense, she can overpower defenders. One thing about Aleigh, she is going to have fun. She plays the way a game should be played. Intense, but remembering it’s just a game. Mountain Home will be glad they have one more year of this dominant force at the net.
