About Alena

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a team player who makes smart decisions for the better of my team. I am a player who wants the ball and wants to be set, but I also understand when I have an off day that there are other ways that I can contribute to the team besides hitting.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality in volleyball is I am always trying to lift my teammates and myself up whether they are having an on or off day. I also understand that mistakes happen and I am not afraid to make them knowing they will only make me better.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing volleyball has taught me how to become a leader on and off the court. And it has also taught me how to communicate and how important communication can be when it comes to a team.

The way that Alena Schaack Alena Schaack Alena Schaack 5'10" | MB/OH Woodward-Granger | 2028 State IA can sky is just different.  She plays out of the middle for Iowa Premier and preps at Woodward-Granger high school.  There are some middles who dominate with their size, while Schaack is dominant with her speed and athleticism.  She is able to find the deep corners where there is always an opening and can hit the offspeed where she can find the open spot.  Her connection with her club setter Addison Waldorf Addison Waldorf Addison Waldorf 5'11" | S Humboldt | 2028 State IA is so money!
