Last year when she played for Liberty Elite she played libero and hit left side.  Injuries to the pin hitters forced the move to the left side position.  She plays for a strong Hedgesville high school team in West Virginia that could surprise teams with a state championship run next season.  Last year they lost in five in the semi-finals to Musselman.  A hard worker, she likes to stand on the other side of the net during warmups and dig her teammates hits without a block.  She normally plays defensive specialist for Paramount , who will be playing in the National Division at Junior Nationals in Las Vegas.

Last year she played for Liberty Elite with Parker Sutherland Parker Sutherland Parker Sutherland 6'3" | MB/OH Hedgesville | 2026 State VA .  This year the two came over to play for Paramount.  The duo both play for Hedgesville High School.  Currently, Lilly Kennedy Lilly Kennedy Lilly Kennedy 5'5" | DS/L National Cathedral | 2026 State VA sees most of the time at the libero position, but Alexa’s back row play and serve are critical to the team’s success.  She led Hedgesville in digs and aces.  There also exists some diversity in her game.  Last year because of injuries Alexa hit outside at the Junior Nationals for Liberty Elite.  At 5’7″ the back row play remains her focus but she holds her own hitting from the pins.
