About Alexis
Expert Analysis
Theresa Hickman | Prep Dig Scout
Alexis Halverson puts on a clinic in adaptability. She moves between roles without losing tempo, maintaining balance, control, and attacking intent regardless of where she lines up. Her approach mechanics stay consistent, allowing her to stay on time and attack with confidence against a formed block. What stands out is her ability to keep the offense alive—she scores in rhythm, resets broken plays, and never fades from a rally. Alexis plays like a system stabilizer, the kind of pin who gives setters options and keeps defenses honest. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

Halverson is an absolutely electric lefty. She has a lot of power in her approach and hang time when she gets airborne. But when that ball enters her airspace, say goodbye because the rally is over with her swing. She is fun to watch and really fuels her team’s fire.

I know Halverson has to be on the radar of plenty of college coaches where the lefty attacker is one who can score points at will. She has a fast arm swing and is one who can score points from the outside, right side, and backrow. She was a key piece to the Barron state championship team in 2024 and are looking for a repeat in 2025. Teams are scheming to stop her while she still averages 4.5 kills per set. is a rising prospect in the Class of 2027 at the libero position. These two are definitely ones to watch out of Western Wisconsin.

Halverson is a 6 rotation lefty outside that has the ability to read any ball, position herself correctly, and terminate from the pin. I watched her play not only in the state tournament last fall but a couple times this club season and she is basically a scoring machine. What I really like about her is that she doesn’t have to be on the right pin to take a big swing, instead she seems to actually prefer to play and attack from the left side. Halverson is also lethal from the back court. Essentially, when she is on the court, you better believe that the ball is likely going to her and she will find a way to score.

was just different than the rest this past weekend at the Minnesota Slam. The 5’10 pin attacker is picking up where she left off this past high school season where she was 1st Team All State pick in D3, leading Barron to a state championship. What is really unique about Halverson is she might be more lethal from the outside than she is from the right side which I don’t see in many left-handed attackers. She is also a big time point scorer from the backrow. Dynamic would be an understatement for Halverson. The whole team is dynamic for ClubRed where they are going to be an exciting team to watch throughout the 2025 club season.

Alexis is an explosive pin who is reliable and incredibly smart. She has a deep toolbox of shots in both the front and back row and is a reliable force. Alexis is another player who was a huge leader throughout the state tournament. She earned 1st Team All-State and All-Tournament Team honors and was a key player in her team’s state championship run. As a lefty, Alexis is tough to block and makes a really dynamic pin. She is a great passer as well and is a talented all-around player.

Alexis was easily one of the most impactful pins at the tournament. She was relentless on offense and had 24 kills in the championship match alone. Her consistent power and placement were tough to do in such a high-pressure moment, but she delivered repeatedly. Alexis was incredibly impressive in her leadership and ability to perform under pressure.

Halverson is a lefty that takes an aggressive approach and a big jump. But, she isn’t afraid to take an even bigger rip on the ball. Halverson can take hard swings from either pin consistently.
