About Alexus

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a well-rounded, smart player with strong court awareness. I play aggressively, stay attuned to my teammates, and bring an encouraging, confident presence on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I can be a silly and fun-loving player, but serious and focused when the time calls for it. I am a very quirky, caring and socially aware person.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m apart of my schools high level Sinfonia orchestra group, FCA, I also played club and school softball . I have received various academic rewards throughout my school years.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’m a very encouraging teammate. I love whenever my teammates get big kills or make good plays. I like spending time with them outside of volleyball due the chemistry we build up through the season.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve been a Middle Blocker for the longest time because I was usually the tallest player. This past school volleyball season I was a Right side. Overall, I’ve never really played in the back row. This club season I’ve been playing as an all around Outside Hitter. So the biggest challenge has to be adjusting to the defense and serve receive in the back row.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m really looking for a college that’s going to academically challenge me and prepare my for my career goal of being a doctor.
