About Alicia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would say that I'm a smart player. I work to be very consistent and positive on the court especially during tough games. Defensively, my goal is to just get the ball up and playable to give my team a chance to score offensively. When I'm hitting, I try to keep the other team out of system and mess up their offense. If the set is there, I will swing very aggressively but that's not my main goal.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a pretty positive person on the court. When I make mistakes I tend to make jokes and laugh at the mistakes I made. I try not to linger on any mistakes I made even after the game ends. I would say that I am a little bit shy off the court but on the court I really push myself to be loud, cheer on my team, and help lead the team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I've played violin for eleven years now. I'm concertmaster of my high school's orchestra, and I've been to state once for a large ensemble group but I'm hoping to make it to state again before I graduate.

Sun is currently playing at the USA All-Star Championships with the PSR Region. The University Prep MB/OH had a terrific season for the Blue Royals, playing OH and Middle. Her defense in the back row was solid, and she scored consistently in both positions. Sun is at her best ripping balls into deep and sharp angles; she is smart with her swings and finds open space to terminate points.
