Miss Anderson is a class of 2029 setter from Atlee High School in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Allece also plays for Coast .51 Volleyball Club. Currently she is ranked No. 77 overall in the Prep Dig Virginia State Rankings. I noticed that she runs the offense with a high volleyball IQ. She was consistently putting her hitters into one on one situations that led to great opportunities to score the point. With distribution on her mind like this, she already knows how to use both spread and overload principles in her offensive scheme. Atlee is an International Baccalaureate school that holds every student to an exceptionally high academic standard and the same disciplined approach to learning and processing that the IB program demands, carries over directly to how she reads the game and makes decisions under pressure on the court. We recommend all high academic school coaches mark her name down as a recruit to watch over the next few years to see if she can make the leap to the next level. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.

Anderson showed a lot of versatility on the court. She made a lot of precise sets, especially on the back sets. She consistently had defenses guessing where balls were headed. Anderson executed a lot of tough shoot sets. Anderson took great line hits during the session.

She showed up at our frosh showcase listed at 5’5″. It appears she has grown a couple inches since then. Coast finished in fifth place at the ACPL Gran Prix tournament a couple weeks ago, a nice finish for them.
Allece shows that enthusiasm for the position that you love to see in a setter. She made the JV roster as an 8th grader when Atlee finished 19-1. Atlee had a good season last year appearing in the Class 4 state bracket. They lost to Grafton in the first round. Allece continued to play on the junior varsity last year but next year should be her opportunity (Edit: she played for Atlee on the varsity as a frosh).
As Allece gets stronger her game will improve. Her sophomore season will be a critical jump. However, she has the attitude of wanting to get better that gives me confidence she will make it.
