Thompson is one of many reasons the Banshees made it to Owensboro for the All “A” State Tournament this weekend. Thompson gives opponents different looks at the setter spot when in the game. She consistently makes smooth sets getting her feet in good position even if balls are outside the preferred setting zone in the front row. Thompson is also a solid server and passer for Bethlehem. She’ll need a big weekend if Bethlehem is to advance out of the tough pool that has the Banshees matched up with Beechwood, Holy Cross (Louisville) and Eminence. Thompson has 132 assists, 30 digs and 18 aces for Bethlehem so far this season.

Thompson brings a different, but sound skill set to the setter spot when in the game. Thompson knows her hitters well and does what it takes to make sure balls land in their power zones. Thompson also had a key role in the Bardstown win serving darts. Thompson hit low line drive serves to perplex the Tigers.

Thompson served as one of two main setters for the Banshees this past fall. Thompson does a great job distributing the ball. She reads defenses and makes the right decisions. Thompson is instinctive on defense, reading hitters and going hard after balls, yet under control. She’s also a sound server.
