has been playing for HP Illinois for club and preps at high school power Breese Mater Dei outside of St. Louis. At 6’5, Koerkenmeier can do so many things for her team out of the middle. She is also a standout basketball player (dual sport college athlete?) So far this high school season she is averaging three kills per set and is hitting just shy of .450 with over 60 total blocks. She is a gamechanger at the net. She will be busy the next few weeks looking to get Mater Dei back to state where they are currently 24-1.

Alyssa is 6’6″ and insanely athletic. She moves across the net in explosive movements and puts up a nearly impenetrable block. She also is great in transition and can find ways to terminate on tough sets. She hit 0.300 in the semifinal match and tied to lead the team in kills. In the championship match, she had three blocks. What you don’t see in the stats are the block touches that slowed down opposing hitters and set her defense up for success.

Alyssa is a stud-level middle hitter. She has a positive impact on nearly every play. Alyssa can rip balls at numerous angles. She has a high reach and an even higher volleyball IQ. Her athleticism sets her apart on the court. She puts up a solid block and moves across the court efficiently. She stops some of the top hitters with her high-level block.
