(Creighton). Who else from the Class of 2025 needs to be on the radar from Iowa and Illinois as high schools on both sides of the Mississippi head into their post season.
Miller is the top available 2025 prospect in the Prep Dig Iowa rankings. She plays for a powerhouse program in Ankeny Centennial which has produced some high profile college athletes (most recently Devyn Robinson of Wisconsin). With a high powered swing, Miller is one of the top kill leaders in Iowa’s largest class. The Jaguars are a top seed in their regional and will be looking to get back to the state tournament at the end of October. She has continued to improve each time she takes the court and has a huge upside to her all around game.

At 6’6, Koerkenmeier brings a really athletic and physical style of play where she has shown the ability to dominate the front line. However, she could go the D1 basketball route as well as she has received an offer from power programs, including Tennessee. I was able to first see Koerkenmeier at the 2021 Illinois State Tournament as a freshman and most recently this club season for the HP Illinois 16s squad. She only continues to get better and if she chooses volleyball, she will be a high impact player at the next level.
Highlights
Furlong has made an impact on both sides of the state line where she preps at Galena High School in Illinois and has been a key player for Six Pack out of the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area. She is electric, lightning in a bottle where she has quite the leaping ability and can score at will. She is another athlete who could have the option to play basketball at the next level. Her athletic ability speaks for itself, she will make someone who will make the gym better – as for what sport that is yet to be determined.

is that she can attack and score points from anywhere. She has been playing on the outside for high school ball and was playing out of the middle for
Illini Elite
16 Cardinal last club season. Her future at the next level might be on the outside, but with how dynamic her game is, there could be plenty of options. Her hang time and heavy arm is what allows her to score from various tempos and spots on the net. An exciting athlete for sure.
Hacker brings so much athleticism and physicality to the court where she can score points anywhere along the front line. She was part of the MVP ‘ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”] team out of the Sioux City/Dakota Dunes area that won the 16 USA Division in Chicago last summer. Hacker has to be in the recruiting battle grounds for the NSIC, the top D2 conference in the country with Wayne State virtually in her backyard. She also has top NAIA schools located around her and could be a Summit League steal.

Hardersen has been putting up quite the numbers this high school season for Central Iowa power, Des Moines Christian. So far this season she has over 350 assists and nearly 250 kills. She played for Iowa PowerPlex 515 on the 16s last club season, playing an age group up with a highly talented team that included

mentioned above. Her future at the next level would most likely being a setter, but she could be a dual threat with a left handed swing. DMC is a top seed in their regional and will be looking to make another state tournament appearance.

When Maddox makes contact with the ball, it just sounds different. I was able to see Maddox play multiple times this past club season for Adversity out of the Chicagoland area and she was a big time point scorer. I’m sure Maddox has heard the term “undersized” being 5’7, but she is one of the most explosive athletes at the prep level where she is a threat to score from anywhere. She has to be hovering around ten feet with she jumps and like I mentioned before it sounds different when she contacts the ball.
Highlights
McComas is another explosive outside hitter who is gaining plenty of momentum. McComas has incredible hangtime where she is able to take what the defense gives her. She will go line, cross, off the block, and can change up her speeds as well. She has improved extremely fast in a short amount of time. I think this upcoming season for her 17s year will be a breakout season for her. This past high school season she has been a key part of a resurgence for Iowa City High.

. Boone is very fundamentally sound on the outside, but also brings a ton of hops where she can just fly. She is also the type who can attack out of the middle and score points on the right side out of serve receive. She is a proven point scorer out of the backrow as well.
