About Alyssa

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a setter, I love to play defense, and serving tough.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I strive for my mentality to always be positive, if it turns negative I take a moment to reflect and make it good again.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been in my schools orchestra since 6 grade.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

playing volleyball has taught me leadership, communication, and how to work as a team. I’ve learned many things, such as staying positive, pushing through tough times, supporting everyone on, and to respect every person on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, back when I was going into 6 grade I tore two ligaments in my knee, and broke my knee cap. It took 2 months in a full leg cast and 4 months of physical therapy for me to recover. Then, in January I tore those ligaments again. I needed to have another 4 months of physical therapy. I have been working on strengthening my knee ever since. I can say that I am very close to being fully recovered.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a division 1 school.
