Amel had a strong day at the Houston Showcase and the court coaches on the floor noticed her early. The 5’6″ outside hitter from St. Agnes played with good timing at the pin and showed she can generate real attacking production without a significant height advantage by being smart about her approach and her shot selection. Her effort level was consistent throughout both sessions and she competed with a presence that made her easy to track on a busy floor. New Age volleyball club has been developing her tools and the results showed up in Spring. She is a 2030 prospect with a good foundation and a lot of time to build on it. She is a young, high-upside athlete who already shows a strong understanding of the game. Playing both middle and right side, she brings versatility and continues to impact the match in multiple phases. For her age, the level of potential is clear, and she is only scratching the surface of what she can become.

Offensively, she does a great job finding the ball and staying aggressive, even when the set is not perfect. She adjusts well, keeps her approach, and still finds ways to score. That ability to produce out of less-than-ideal situations is a valuable trait, especially as the level of play increases.

What stands out is that she is a true six-rotation player. She contributes from the service line with a strong, consistent serve, and she is reliable in the back row. Her defense is solid, and she holds her own in serve receive, which adds even more value to her game. With continued development, she has the tools to become a complete and impactful player at the next level.
